Q: How do you assemble the legs? Mine came with 3 screws for each leg only attachable with a manual screwdriver due to the size of the hole and length of extension through the plastic leg.

Cheap, hardware malfunction
The top is near impossible to secure correctly. Crappy little screws broke through the wood. Got longer screws from store, same problem. Buying this was a mistake

This trunk looks nice but be warned- it doesn't last long. The hinges started popping off continously after about 6 months of mild use. At this point, the lid, and ultimately the whole trunk, is no longer usable.

DANGEROUS. DO NOT BUY - Hinges broke exposing screws
The hinges ripped out of the cheap plywood after 5 months of owning this product exposing the screws underneath. Almost slashed my hand while trying to get items out of the storage component Target should stop selling this dangerous product.

Contains Toxic Chemicals
I didn’t know until it arrived with warning labels. It contains fire repellant coatings which are made with toxic chemicals known to cause cancer. Especially dangerous for pregnancies and young children. I’m returning this asap. Stay safe!

Cheaply made.
Very poorly made. One of the springs came off the first time I opened it. Since I wasn’t planning on opening it very often and the other spring remained intact, I didn’t bother trying to return it. Then, less than two months later, one of the seams on the top started coming apart. I keep it covered because my dog uses it to get up on my bed. But more seams (around the tufting buttons) are coming apart. The weave of the fabric is not tight and the fabric itself is very thin. Very poor quality. I realize I didn’t pay a lot for this, but I expected to get at least a couple of years out of it. But it started falling apart within weeks.

This ottoman was not exactly easy to put together. It took three humans each with two arms and one with a power drill to put this together. We were able to get most pieces attached, but the two hinges/arms that would hold the lid up. We ended up detaching them because they don’t close/fold up. The springs were stuck in place. My fault for not noticing also that the legs are plastic and not wood. Had I known any of this, I would have opted for a different ottoman.

The piece itself is beautiful, sturdy and just what I needed. However, it was missing some screws to fasten the safety hinges. I’m still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer on the status.

Hinges Broke
The ottoman was easy to put together and worked well for 5 months. Then the screws popped out of the hinges on one side - then the other. Now the screws don't hold the top in place (& are a hazard to my kid when the pop out when opening). 5 months is way to short of a lifespan for an ottoman - I do not recommend purchasing this.

Very frustrating to put together. No marks to know where to put the screws and the top is not big enough to line up with the bottom box. It doesn’t open all the way so it’s difficult to use. Ours is now broken and sunken in after less than six months of use

Very poorly made
If you are considering purchasing you should know that you have to put about 2 dozen screws in and the holes are not pre-drilled so you'll have to do that yourself. Pieces do not properly fit together so I was not able to fully assemble and use. Unfortunately I had purchased this when it was on sale and had to get rid of another piece of furniture before using it and missed the window for returning it so I'm stuck with it. Because the pieces don't fit together I can't even give it away so will have to throw it out.
