Q: Is this cup hot to the touch when heated, and how hot can contents of cup be?

  • A: Hi Victoria - Great question. Depending on your microwave or method of heating, the mug may be hot to the touch, but the handle in general should be cooler than the body. We advise using the handle but be careful especially after microwaving the item to make sure it’s comfortable to touch. There isn’t really a limit on how hot the contents of the cup can be functionally and this depends on personal preference. I hope this help! - Maria

  • A: I have poured boiling water into the mug to steep tea and the handle stays cool and easily handled. The bowl also does not get too hot to handle, but it might be different if the water is microwaved.

Absolutely buy this!! I recently stacked a mini mason jar onto this, and it somehow got stuck into the mug. With the fight my husband and I put in trying to remove it from the mug, it surprisingly held up very well and did not shatter on us.
