Anna Dewdney was a teacher, mother, and enthusiastic proponent of reading aloud to children. She continually honed her skills as an artist and writer and published her first Llama Llama book in 2005. Her passion for creating extended to home and garden and she lovingly restored an eighteenth-century farmhouse in southern Vermont. She wrote, painted, gardened, and lived there with her partner, Reed, her two daughters, two wirehaired pointing griffons, and one bulldog. I was hoping for more
My toddler really enjoyed Llama Llama Red Pajama and recently started to like the lift the flap books so when I saw this online I thought she was going to love this book. But it’s not as entertaining as the Llama Llama Red Pajama book. The best part is seeing her reflection at the end of the book. I wouldn’t recommend for a newly turned 1 year old.

Love it!
We have several lift the flap and peekaboo themed books but this one is our fave! It is simple so there isn’t a long story like the original llama llama red pajama, but i will say that we love that you don’t have to read the actual story lines and we make it our own every time so it feels really open ended and fun. The mirror at the end is always a fun surprise!

Fell short of her other books
We LOVE the Llama Llama Red Pajama book. But this book, although cute, was extremely short and the words weren’t clever at all. Very repetitive in the rhymes and my 2-yr-old was bored after just a couple times reading it and doesn’t want it anymore. Which isn’t normal for her because she normally loves to read books over and over and over. And over!

I bought this for my grandson as his new favorite game is hiding. After receiving it in the mail, he read it over 6 times (he's 2.5 years old) so his reading consists of being read to and then, memorizing what is written on each page. He loves Llama Llama and this book has now become his new favorite. Cute and entertaining, this book was a hit! Great price too!

My 3 year old loves lift a flap books. I purchased this online so I didn't get to look at it before hand. It is a very short book. Also, the last page of the mirror is kind of odd. It doesn't reflect your image very well so its kind of pointless. I think we will pass it on.
