Wall plate with high quality gold plated binding posts for speakers. Can be used with banana plugs, spades, or bare wire. Same type of connector front and back. No soldering required. Corrosion resistant gold plated connectors. Spacing is compatible with PID# 2944 & 2945 banana plugs. Good, inconsistent
Quality seems good: gold plating, sturdy screw connectors, firm mounting. But the horizontal holes in the mounting posts, which you need if you're using bare wires rather than banana plugs, seem to be oriented in random directions. On some units they are horizontal, some vertical, .... If they are vertical, they are difficult to use with stiff wire (eg. 12 gauge.) It may be possible to remove the posts and reorient them yourself, but that looked like more trouble than I wanted to go through.

A great upgrade!
The Banana Binding Post Wall Plates are great - functional, easy to install, and great looking! They are a vast improvement over the old spring-clip speaker connections I took out. It might be my imagination, but I think my speakers even sound better because the connection is much more secure and reliable than the old terminals. I wish I had done this years ago!

These are very nice wall places and connect very well. I have purchased more expensive wall plates from other places and these are cheaper and at least as good if not better.

Does the job well.
They function very well, but the plastic portions of the plates did not mate together perfectly everytime, and I had some issues with the face plate screws fitting very tightly. Overall, they were very cost effective and performed very well. Just know that installing the face plates may take a bit more effort than higher quality plates.

I did not use outlet boxes. No space for them . I used drywall screws to attach the base plate to the wall, then the supplied screws to mount the decorative plate.

Work Well
These arrived in a timely fashion and are of decent quality. My only complaint is that the cover screws are so heavily coated in paint that a standard screwdriver does not fit will in them, making it easy to damage the head when trying to screw them in. Other than that, install was straightforward and they do what I wanted.
