Extra-Strength Healthy Hip & Joint Bite-Sized Chews represent the third stage in our comprehensive life stages joint support program for dogs, and is recommended for dogs in need of maximum joint support. It is also recommended by veterinarians for geriatric and working dogs and as a follow-up to support normal recovery after orthopedic surgery.     extra strength

    I use it for my older dogs and it really helps keep them moving. They smell strong and the bag sometimes loses it's closing up ability but I still buy them.

    Dog Took a Turn for the Worst

    After much research, I was steered in the direction of trying VetriScience for my pitbull. She is a 10 year old 55 lb pocket pit who has had two ACL knee surgeries and spine surgery in her life. The most important thing at this point in her life, is keeping her comfortable and free of pain from arthritis. She has been taking Cosequin and CBD since her spine surgery almost 3 years ago. I thought that VetriScience would take her pain relief to the next level but boy was I wrong. I gave her the recommended dose and over the course of 3 days, she would barely get up and eat. It was awful to see. I immediately went back to the Cosequin and she jumped right back to her old self. I wish I didn't spend the money on VetriScience for 3 days because it's expensive and most certainly didn't help my girl.

    Too early to rate

    So far our German shepherd loves the chews. But unable to tell the effect for her joint health. We will be purchasing it again.

    prevention for my girl

    My Frenchies hear the bag opening and come running

    I have two French Bulldogs that get Healthy Hip and Joint for added support to their care. It's a great supplement, one that I highly recommend.

    Good purchase!

    I gave 4 stars just because of the overpowering smell when I opened the bag. My pups LOVE them though, so that's what is important! Their first bag so can't tell if they are going to make a difference yet.

    I'm optimistic

    Just started this with my older dog. So far, so good. She likes it and I hope it helps her mobility. Other Vetriscience products work great (UTI and dental chews) so I am optimistic

    Great product, slow shipping

    Tasty and health

    My fur baby's vet recommended these for his recently diagnosed hip dysplasia. I love that they are hydrolyzed, as it's easier for him to digest given his IBS. He loves them.

    Vet recommended to me

    Great product for my old dogs, they love them like treats, which makes it easy! Only thing I don't like is the chemicals they use, can't these be left out? Propylene glycol is not healthy for animals, especially ones with compromised health.

    So Far, So Good...

    I have had a very good experience so far with these supplements. I started giving them to my 1 y/o dog, who has medial luxating patella in both knees to help protect her joints. We only started 2 weeks ago so I can't really say I have noticed a magical difference, which is why I am only giving 4 stars and not 5. My pup can be pretty picky about treats, but she never hesitates to eat this chew! We also sell these at the vet clinic I work at and have had a lot of success with patients on it!
