  • A: Hi Carmen, Thanks for reaching out! That particular DHA product is geared towards adults. We do have the Children's DHA Xtra, which provides a more concentrated dose of Omegas. We also have the Children's DHA gummy chews and the Children's DHA liquid. In general, our EPA/DHA recommendation is 100-1500 mg EPA+DHA per day, which is the efficacious range for children 1-8 years of age. Works great! No aftertaste

I have only been taking these pills a few weeks, they were recommended by my doctor during pregnancy. I love them because they have no aftertaste. They are pretty big like most fish oil & recommended to take 2. I take them at night with no issue.

No side effects or fishy burps

I only took it for 2 weeks so I don’t know its effectiveness, but it is easier to take than other pills, no upset stomach or fishy burps. I have acid reflux and a sensitive stomach so this was very important to me.

I tried taking DHA for years only to be put off by the fishy repeats. I found Nordic Naturals and this was the first fish oil product with no fishy repeats, I actually like the strawberry flavor. Now for the medicinal review. Upon first use, I noticed that my joints felt as if they had been "oiled", even though I have never suffered any stiffness. That is enough benefit for me to continue using this product. That is part of the wonder of using supplements. There are often secondary and tertiary benefits unknown until use. And it's different for everyone. The wonderful world of organic chemistry!

Disappointed

I took this product for two months. It completely changed my Ph balance. I started smelling like fish. I have never in my life smelled potent like i did while taking this. Not even after work outs and long sweaty days. I felt so embarrassed. I stopped taking immediately when I realized this product had changed my body odor so drastically. It’s been a couple weeks now and the smell is gone. That to me supports the fact that it was this DHA supplement. Waste of money for me.

Big capsules

Gel capsules are pretty big so if you have any issue with swallowing pills, these aren’t for you.

Strawberry omegas

I know it is important to get my Omegas but most foods that contain them I don’t eat. It tastes like strawberries so I don’t have a problem with taste.

Preferred Ratio of DHA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Omega 3 Fatty Acid has a higher ratio of DHA to EPA which is what I desire to target my brain and nerve health in an omega 3 supplement. I've been taking this brand for years and I am pleased with the quality. Although I can't apply the Swanson discounts and have usually resolved to order it elsewhere, I still thought I should give it a higher rating.

Wonderful surprise!

My sister recommended this product to me. I love it! It does everything it claims. I especially like the fact that it smells good (like strawberries) and has no "burpy fish" after taste. The 500 mg soft gels are easy to swallow. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone

I Love This

I always avoided DHA and fish oil because it stinks and tastes really bad, but not this product. I am relieved to be able to take this important supplement and not have to suffer with yucky burps. I love the strawberry aroma and flavor. And Nordic is a really good brand. I ran out once and checked at the store, but soooo expensive. I waited for an order to arrive rather than pay the crazy high price. Swanson is awesome!!

seems to be a good product

My daughter used this product throughout her pregnancy and into the nursing. It seems to be very complimentary to her supplements to support the brain function for her as well as the baby.
