exactly what you'd expect

it's a nice little shelf; put it together on my own with no trouble. For the price, it's very nice (I got it on sale, definitely worth the 50% off). I bought it in walnut and the color has nice variation and looks natural. Would definitely buy another. Only reason I deducted a star is because I haven't seen it hold books/decor yet so reserving judgement on weight capacity and longevity
