Never had a bad batch.
I really don’t know what these people are talking about but these are the best tasting snack cakes I’ve had. If you like chocolate like I do these cakes will do the job.

Old school cupcake flavor
These are really good. They taste like old school cupcakes that actually tasted like a tasty snack instead of how so many now taste bland and like chemicals. Thanks Hersheys and Mrs Freshly for bringing back childhood taste and flavor. I wholeheartedly recommend these!

I liked them 🤷🏽♀️ I bought these on a whim because I I love chocolate. I didn’t get the chemical taste others did but it was September 2024 when I bought them and some reviews are from 2023. The only issue I have with these is that they can be messy. The chocolate outside breaks apart easily. But I think it’s a good chocolate snack that will help with that sweet craving you’re having. The second one bought was expired by DAYS but I believe that’s targets fault for not removing them. I do check expiration dates now and so should you (with everything!) it does taste like a higher quality packaged desert. I’d recommend anyone( who likes/loves chocolate ) try them at least once. You can’t beat it. Especially for the price.

Idk what’s wrong with this but I bought a box and I tried a cake & it tasted like some weird liquor mixed with chemical cleaner. The smell alone should’ve clued me in before I bit it.

These were fantastic- until we found the first rotten one. I bought a few boxes- and while I can’t help the expiration date on the box for the bad one (we threw the box away a week ago), I can say that the other box expires in 3 weeks. The bag the rotten one came in had no labels at all- but the other ones I have do have a label. I wonder why these were on sale…

I had these once and they were fine... nothing amazing but comparable to any other $3 snack cakes - but I got a box today and just ate one and OH MY GOSH it's disgusting. It smells and tastes like strange plastic or chemicals. I asked my boyfriend to smell it and he said the same. I don't know what happened since the last time I tried it but do not waste your money on this. I really hope this doesn't give me some kind of food poisoning. :(

Horrible Taste
I bought a box because they looked good. My 12 year old niece and I tried them together. The first one we each had was decent. She had a second one and spit it out saying it tasted gross. I had another one the next day which was ok. When I had the third another day I noticed a garlicy smell when I opened the package but didn't think anything of it so I took a bite and it it tasted horrible. I immediately spit it out and it took forever to get the horrible taste out of my mouth. I will never buy these again.
