You have to assemble the stars and unfortunately the center frame is not one piece so when you try to attach each pyramid spike the frame come apart. I tried doing it for so long before giving up. I was very disappointed. Very expensive too for the size, not worth the hassle to me, I returned them.

I wish I had read reviews before I impulse ordered this. All are true. It’s all plastic, needs assembly, but plastic pieces break easily when assembling rendering the already cheap looking star completely useless. Do not purchase this.

We actually have this. We've had it for at least six years. While the reviews are accurate, the work and aggravation is so worth it! I can't tell you how many people have stopped and asked us where we got it. Just because it's such a difficult product to deal with, I decided to look for and purchase a backup. I've been looking for a while and was glad to see that Target carried it. I think we paid more than double on ours. Because the points keep failing off, I'm thinking about gluing all but one or two - leaving an opening to change the light bulb.

Waste of time and money. Center row of the frame is held together with pinpoint pieces of plastic. It doesn't even snap together. Twisting the beams of light into the frame is manageable UNTIL you get to the middle row of 8 beams. The frame is not glued together, and it separates. I glued it, letting it sit for 2 days. The first beam I twisted in caused the frame to pull apart again. I finally used strong rubber bands to hold the frame together to finish the star. If I remove the rubber bands, the star separates. Now, I just have a "piece-of-junk" star. ☹️

Arrived not put together, which I’m not against. But instructions were minimal AND the center of the star kept breaking apart. Tried 2nd one (we bought 4) just in case first one was a fluke…. Absolute garbage product. Great concept, needs some definite improvement.
