Carole Lindstrom is a beloved indigenous sister and friend to me, and writes beautiful, authentic, and accurate children’s’ stories about our Native American cultural experiences and through our lens. She is a gift, as are her stories for children, to all of us and I can’t recommend her books enough for anyone who wants their own children to view through the indigenous lens of Turtle Island, or whose children ARE Native American or indigenous and deserve to see that our ways and traditions are strong and that there are other children just like them, who can relate to them and with whom they share a common and beautiful connection.
