    Sized wrong

    I bought a pair of 6" Chino shorts for my husband six weeks ago. He loved them so I ordered two more pairs. The order we just received are not like the first order. We've been ordering the 6 inch shorts for YEARS, but in the past couple of years the sizing is a hit or miss. Quality control for sizing is definitely a miss. Today, I'm not feeling too generous to recommend to friends. It's a hassle to return the shorts, closest UPS store is over 30 miles away.

    Good looking shorts!

    The shorts fit well, and look great! I just wish that all the colors shown in the catalogue had been available when I called a day after it arrived. I like wearing bright colors, and the only ones available were very dull.

    He loves them! Me too!

    I bought 2 pairs of 6 inch length traditional fit shorts in khaki and black to get thru summer and into fall as shorts in his wardrobe were wearing out. The fabric and fit are perfect, better than expected. So comfortable too. Just wash, wear, repeat! Now to buy pants.

    Great Shorts - Horribly Flawed

    A nice pair of shorts, marred by a fly zipper too short to allow a man to pee without dropping his trousers and a size 40 with a waistband that measured 44 inches. They had to be returned. It appears that extremely short fly zippers have been incorporated into many of the traditional Lands' End designs recently, compromising the ability to relieve oneself without undressing. This needs to be corrected.

    LACK QUALITY CONSISTENCY

    While this is an inexpensive item, the quality control is disappointing. I have a few 33" shorts (for years and happy with them) that are now 2" too tight as I have gained a few pounds. I ordered new 35" and they turned out to be extremely loose. I requested a replacement to 34" and those too are way baggy. 33" are tight by 2", and 34" are loose by 2"; go figure.

    Good choice if you’re short-legged

    My husband has difficulty finding shorts because he is 5’7” 155 lbs. with short legs, and most shorts he tries on look baggy and shapeless. Lands’ End 6” chino fit him well and they come about three inches from the knee, so nothing like the picture shown on the website (where they appear very short on the model). He says the fabric is a bit stiff and he wishes the pockets were bigger, but understandable considering these are 6” shorts. Overall he is happy.

    Excellent shorts!

    These are my everyday pants for summer. They are comfortable, fit just right, offer high quality fabric and construction, and are quite wrinkle resistant even right out of the dryer. These 6 inch inseam shorts are perfect for me as I am only about 5’5” and I don’t like shorts down to my knees. If you are a man of average or above average height, you’ll probably want the Land’s End shorts with a longer inseam.

    durable not wrinkly shorts

    I bought these shorts for my work at a tourist attraction, often radio on belt, and wanted shorts that were 100% cotton. they hold up great, aren't trapping heat and cat hair doesn't cling to them

    shallow pockets

    After buying these shorts in the past I bought a pair for this summer. They look and feel great but the pockets are too shallow. On 2 occasions my keys fell out while I was sitting. I wouldn't buy them again unless this is adjusted.

    PERFECT FIT

    I am only 5’7” tall. I don’t like shorts that go below my knee. The 6” shorts are perfect. Also when you take them out of the dryer they don’t need ironing. My biggest complaint is that they have only 4 colors. In the past they had green. Now that color is gone. The longer shorts have more colors. WHY CANT THE 6”ONES HAVE MORE COLORS??
