Lands' End Women's Starfish High Rise Knit Denim Straight Jeans

I really love these jeans! They are comfortable, and the color holds up very well after many washings. Plus, the pockets are all functional. I own several pairs already, and they are a real staple in my wardrobe.

I love these jeans. They fit well. My only complaint is that they get snags easily. My request? Make them in black!

The length is way too long. This is the second pair of these jeans I have purchased and both pairs have been excessively long. I literally walk on the hems by at least 1.5 inches. I have many pairs of these Starfish knit pants and they are perfect in length so I am confused and unhappy. I resent having to shorten a pair of pants that should have had the same length as the other Starfish line or been described as a much longer pant. In general the cut is very different from the knit pants as the waistband ends up half way up my rib cage. I am 5’7”.

I bought two pairs of these at a Land’s End store and love them. They are lighter than regular denim and so comfortable. They are also long enough for my 5’9” height. The skinny legs are flattering with a bit of a flare at the bottom. I’m going to order a couple more pairs!!

The jeans are comfortable, but have a strong chemical smell. Thinking about trying to return them. Washing and wearing has not diminished the smell.

I recently lost some weight, went from 3x to 2x, yea! I haven’t worn blue jeans in years. Too stiff with no give. In my older age, I’m all about comfort. I figured I would try jeans again & found these with that stretchy material. Well, I love them. Just the right amount of stretch. And very comfy! I’m going to order another pair in a different color.

The materials has on oder that washing, drying, and even air drying can’t get rid of.

I love these jeans, but my most recent purchase of three more had a very strong chemical smell (like the "new jeans" smell, but stronger). It can't be washed out, which is very odd. I would also love it if they would bring back the belt loops, which I appreciated.

Didn’t like the fit. It was more high rise than midrise. I thought that if I washed it in hot water it would shrink, it did not. It was loose fitting, felt uncomfortable.

Ok, I thought I’d try again as Starfish jeans were my favorites! They were comfortable, laundered well and dog hair did not stick to them. A few years ago Lands End made a change in the fabric, I have ordered several pair and absolutely will not wear them. They’re baggy, hang in the behind like I’m wearing diapers and attract dog hair as well as a furminator. Since I’m down to my last two hole-y pairs of my original jeans, I thought I’d try again. Oh and this time they smelled so badly of mold I thought I’d have an asthma attack! No more Starfish for me! 😭

Please go back to the old fabric. This fabric snags and bags after one wearing. Need black jeans again.

After 3-4 washes the elasticity is gone and the pants are now too slouchy to wear. Plus - it is impossible to get the STINK out of these pants. Lands End used to be better than this. Why the decline in quality?

These comfy jeans exceeded my expectations! Great fit, though they do stretch some with wearing. I had read reviews about a chemical smell. There was none. And the pockets are a real upgrade from my older Starfish pants.I bought the light wash. Am ordering the darker ones today.

My third pair of starfish bluejeans just arrived. The first (old and well worn) pair had only back pockets. When the second pair arrived, I was happy to find well made side and back pockets. The new ones have - zero - pockets! Did someone forget the QC? They are strictly stretch fabric, no denim in sight, but they fit and I can use them for yoga or pilates

I have several other pairs of Land's End pants that I love. These are unflatteringly baggy and the elastic isn't strong enough to keep them in place. I have worn these just once, at home, and they already have three visible snags.

This is the 2nd pair of these that I have ordered. I returned the first pair because they were extremely long and I thought maybe they had been sized incorrectly. I decided to try another pair because I have been wearing the OLD style of Starfish jeans for years and years and my several pairs are wearing out. I am keeping this second pair because I need pants, but they are AWFUL. 1. They are way too long, way longer than the old style even though they are the same size. 2. The fabric is very flimsy and the fit is just somehow 'off' in a way I can't describe. They just don't hang correctly. 3. There is a chemical smell that does not want to go away. I have washed them twice, hung them outside on a chair in the sun for two full days, and also laid them out on my lawn in the sun for an entire day. I am wearing these pants right now as I type; I have had them on for about two hours, and the smell is so bad it is unbearable and literally giving me a headache. I cannot recommend these pants and am not sure they are going to be of any use to me. I might be able to wear them outside in the garden and hope the chemical smell eventually dissipates. I am very very disappointed that Lands End has not responded in a positive way to the many, many bad reviews these pants have gotten since they changed the style and fabric. I was really hoping that the pants would be ok if not great, but they are simply awful. Just awful.

I liked these so much that I bought the other 2 colors. They fit great. The material is very soft. Look like jeans but feel like sweats.

Overall I do like these jeans, but wish they had belt loops. After a couple times wearing them they start to get loose;

I bought these jeans in size small and they are way too long. Usually LE gives you a choice between 30 and 31 And these are 31 1/2. I love the soft light weight material they would be perfect for the spring and summer!

I bought this jean because I am older and love elastic waist pants/jeans. They feel comfortable. However, I am extremely disappointed that the pockets are not deep enough to hold my iPhone 11 pro-Max. I wish that manufacturers would make women's pants with pockets that are deep as men's. I prefer not carrying a purse all the time but with this pair of jeans I will be forced to in order to keep my phone secure.
