Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Great All in Motion pants for all seasons - except bitter cold days. They are stylish at a fair price. The sizing is problematic because the XL appears to work for slim kids - not muscular frames. I wish I could find the XL Husky. Target does not sell and indicated they are being discontinued.

Nice casual pants

these are the perfect winter pair of pants. They are sick material but not too happy. My son likes wearing them to school and there is also a reinforced knee for good measurement. They are a Jagger so they fit perfectly over my son’s shoes

The perfect casual pant for school, basketball, any kind of physical activity or just to lounge around in. The solid black matches pretty much everything in these do run true to size. They are very comfortable and soft on the inside and well worth the price.

Comfortable, active joggers

I got these pants for my son to grow into. These are really comfortable material and I love that they're fleece lined. These would be great for cold weather! I love the jogger fit as my son has shorter legs so sometimes pants run really long. These are a great neutral to go with lots of different tops and these have a functional drawstrings. The only thing is I do wish these had pockets!

Sweet comfy joggers

I received this product for free from the Hey, Bullseye™ sampling program in exchange for my honest review. My little one was jazzed to get these and try them on. They are a tad too big for him, but you know by the end of the winter, they will be too small, hah. Nice feel to the fabric. I like these a lot and would purchase.

Nice pants

These pants feel very durable. They are true to size. The quality is very nice. They are also soft on the inside. I would definitely recommend these pants for rugged boys who are hard on their clothing.

Comfortable but durability is questionable

I got a small (6/7) for my 5yo. They are a little big yet, but there's a functional drawstring. He reported they were comfortable and pockets are always a hit. I did notice a pull in the fabric after only 1 wear though so I'm not convinced they will hold up as long as I would expect.

Super comfy and warm!

Voice text fleece joggers sweatpants for my 4-year-old son, who weighs 43 lb, to use as a uniforms and they are perfect! They're incredibly comfortable and warm, making my deal for cooler months. My son loves wearing them, and they fit perfectly the quality is great, and the fleece line it keeps and cozy all day long. They also hold up well after washing. And I do plan to buy more in the future. Highly recommend these for any little ones wardrobe.

Lightweight and soft from inside!

My son liked these joggers because there so soft from the inside.I like them because there are very lightweight and easy to style with any t-shirt. I also really like that it has the drawstring and that its long, since my son is skinny. True to size. Quality overall is great.

Jogger pants for boys for the win. My son loves these joggers from all in motion at target. They not only fit him great but they fit my budget great too. He is currently in a size ten in jeans, so the large is a size ten/twelve and fit him great. The elastic waistband with the drawstring helps to make them smaller if needed. The quality is amazing and has held up great through the washes. I received an incentive to write this review.

Good comfort and warmth

These pants are thicker and will be good exercise pants in the fall. The ankles are designed to ride high so they are probably not best for snow or extreme cold. The fit is "skinny jean" style on the legs.

Boys Tech Fleece All in Motion Jogger pants in gray are a midweight fleece. I love that they are heavier than the usual athleisure all in motion pants. They are not a heavyweight fleece, which is perfect for my son. We live in S Louisiana, and when he plays outside, he is a break a serious sweat kid. I bought the Large, and he is 4'10", usually wears L in Target brands. I think these run a little shorter than usual for a Large, so we'll see how these fit in 3 months. Love love love the reinforced knees (see photo). Very practical! I received an incentive to write this review.

Fleece Pant

Boy’s Athletic Loose Joggers

This pair of athletic pants are easy to wear and run around in. It comes with two functioning pockets and a functioning drawstring on the outside of the waistband. This is more of a loose jogger style pant with a band at the bottom near the ankles. This pair runs a little big on my son. They are a size large/10/12 and my son usually wears this size. He tried using the drawstring but it didn’t help. He liked them but not the fit. I received an incentive to write this review.
