External muffler for quiet operation. The user may also remove the external muffler if they wish to hook a hose up for blowing or inflating.

Quiet yet Great Airflow
We replace our central vac after many years of great service. I love this unit. I can be in the garage when someone is vacuuming in the house without earplugs. Its really quite! In addition it has great airflow. My floor "vac pans" work better than ever.

Not knowing much about the brand I took a chance on the CV12000 based on reviews. It has been about a year since I installed the unit. My initial reaction when opening the box was that of disappointment as the unit said made in China. If that was disclosed I might have chosen a different brand. Overall the construction seemed ok, suction is decent and the dust bin seems easy to empty and clean. My initial observations are that the unit is a bit louder than the Hayden we had and the unit gets quite warm (almost hot) while operating. I also noted that after a few months the power switched seized in the "on" position. I will continue to use the unit but will watch it carefully.

CV 12000 purchase
The purchase of the CV12000 central vacuum unit went smooth and flawless. I am very happy with the price of this Central vacuum. The registration process and paperwork that I received with the machine left me a little disappointing, There was a booklet that required me to send my customer to the prolux website where they could easily see what I paid and had come to there own conclusion that I charged them too much for labor. If I had received a physical registration to hand my customer I think it would be much better. I charged a fair price but some people dont seem to understand you are a business and need to make a profit. Besides what I have stated I am very satisfied so far with the performance of the unit and it is quiet and powerful.

I replaced 18 yr Beam. I took Prolux out of the box and it looks like Beams sister. It has the same motor as Beam. It took me 30 minutes to remove old and install the new Prolux. Great value and great product.

Looks good and really sucks
I replaced an 18 year old Hayden central vac system with this. Install was straight forward but had to get a couple central vac fittings at a local vacuum store to complete. This unit is much quieter and has better suction. The additional hose connection on unit will make for easy car cleaning. Hopefully the motor lasts as long as the old Haydens, time will tell.

Great product! Has twice the suction of my previous Central Vacuum power unit. This Prolux CV12000 Central Vacuum Power Unit is twice as powerful as my previous unit and with the muffler system I do not hear all the noise. This product comes with a hepa filter, do not have to use filter bags. Just unclip the bottom and dump the dust and dirt in the garbage can.

Excellent Central Vac Unit To Replace A Defective "Central Vac"
This central vac is much quieter than the other unit I'd owned for about 6 months that burned out! The suction exceeds what I expect and it's a slimmer unit than the previous all plastic unit that was called a "central vac." I would buy this unit again, excellent price and quick shipping.
