Does not work for us
My daughter has straight thick hair and this shampoo does not keep her hair smelling clean longer than 1 day. I think it leaves buildup and is not cleansing properly. I double cleanse every time and use a clarifiying shampoo a couple times a month on her. This just doesn’t work for her and we have found another clean shampoo that does.

I used nearly a whole bottle of both the shampoo and conditioner. My hair is fine and prone to breakage. My hair would get instantly greasy the day after wash day. It weighed my hair down. It also felt quite residuey. Not for my hair or hard water areas.

Gave me problems I've never even had!
My hair HATED this stuff. I was initially attracted to this because we use Puracy detergent and I liked that it’s “clean”. The shampoo truly made my hair like straw. I never had an issue before with a dry and flaky scalp and suddenly I had both! It was awful. I tried it for about 3 months thinking that my hair and scalp would adjust, but I tried a sample of another clean shampoo and promptly threw out two almost new bottles of the Puracy after seeing how good my hair felt again with the other stuff.

Not worth it
This left my hair really dry. Even after conditioning with the puracy conditioner my hair was still dry and greasy after 3 days for someone who does not have oily hair. I Switched over to acure that left my hair super soft after washing. For reference I have thick, brown, and coarse hair, on the wavy straight side.

Not great, not even good
Formula has changed - consistency is thicker - and it doesn’t clean hair well. I have normal, straight hair and used to wash my hair every other day. Now I feel I need to wash on a daily basis. It leaves my hair flat and my scalp oily by the next day. A huge disappointment.

This works handle oily scalp
Works for my very oily scalp Note it doesn’t lather as well as something with SLS in it. If you have soft water it feels just right if you have hard water it feels as if there isn’t enough lathering Folks around me noticed more volume. It strips the oil from my hair so it can get tangled easily but it works as i expected

Great Shampoo
I have an oily scalp and dry hair. This shampoo has been amazing. It cleans my hair so well that it’s not oily and greasy anymore, and I can go every other day, sometimes two days without washing it. Previously, I had to wash it daily. Another bonus is I used to shed a lot and since using the shampoo, I don’t shed at all anymore. That’s probably my favorite thing about it. I highly recommend the shampoo!

Drying on Asian hair over time
I have straights Asian hair and after a few months of using this shampoo…I won’t be purchasing again. Main reason because it is drying! I maybe washed my head twice a week for a total of 3 months. In the beginning it felt great because I didn’t have oil build up like I typically do but on the third month, I started to have an itchy scalp and dandruff. I swapped shampoos with dandruff relief and it’s getting better

Waste of money, dry grease
This shampoo takes a lot per hair wash, it does lather and it instantly feels like it dries the hair. After wash and condition it’s still oily but a dry oil, which is must not be washing at all. Waste of money!!

Sticky dried hair
this is actually the worst shampoo i have ever tried. my hair will feel fine once i get out of the shower then after it dries it’s sticky. i’ve shampooed with this for over a week and nothing i tried has worked so i don’t recommend this. also i shampoo twice and even tried to use apple cider vinegar wash to solve the problem.

Natural and amazing
I was looking for a natural shampoo/conditioner and went through many before trying pureology - it took about a week and a half using it every few days but I am hooked on this stuff!!! BEST SHAMPOO I LOVE IT
Oh my! I never leave reviews but LET. ME. TELL. YOU! This is the best--that's it. My hair is kinda wavy and super frizzy so I usually use a moisturizing shampoo to reduce frizz but then it ends up greasing and whatever it's just gross if I wear it natural (I often straighten to avoid frizz). SO I was at target perusing the natural shampoos and stuff and lo and behold I saw the puracy ones. I was like wow I love the smell of mint! So I picked it and the conditioner up. THEN today I used them after my run along with the scalp scrub and wow oh wow my hair is not frizzy AND there's no grease at the roots where there usually is--it's a christmas miracle!! AND, get this, my hair is SOFT!! I'm in awe. I cannot believe it. I can't wait to continue using this now knowing how good it makes my hair feel. That's all. If you were questioning buying this--it's worth it.

Clean ingredients and works well
Squeaky clean without stripping all the moisture. After using this for the first time ever I will definitely be repurchasing. I was unsure wether to trust it or not because I have long thick locs(thick and very dense 4B and 4C hair I needed something quickly that could get all the dirt out and clean my scalp well. This is a win for me...I washed twice and I could see the dirt coming out which let me know it was working fast.

Best Natural Shampoo
This is my second bottle of this shampoo. I have fine, naturally curly virgin hair and hard water. I had the same problem as others at first, not cleaning my hair, dry hair and ichy scalp. However, after contacting the company, I found out it was a bad batch, and they sent me a new one. Great customer service, and fantastic shampoo. Thank god they haven't changed this since 2019, and I hope they never do. I have tried sooo many natural shampoos, and nothing worked well. You only need about a nickle size or less for shoulder-length hair. No strong fragrance and it lathers.

I’ve been trying many different shampoo brands from Target. While I liked Odele, I felt their shampoo made my hair greasy too fast.
