Q: Are these bowls oven safe?

A: These are not oven save. pyrex uses soda-lime glass and it is not oven safe. The original PYREX brand is made in France and uses borasilicate glass which is where the oven safe reputation comes from.

Q: I'm confused there are 2 different answers given for the question, are they " oven save". One says yes in a completely preheated oven & the other says no! Can you oven bake a casserole in them?

A: Yes, Always preheat your oven before placing your Pyrex® dish inside it. While the glass is designed for temperatures typically used in baking, it can break when exposed to the direct heat element while the oven is preheating.

The bowls are fine but these lids do not fit. They’re about 3-4mm too small, so you think they’ll fit but only pop off, and will not go around the lip of the bowl. Poor manufacturing.
