What on earth?
I ate this almost daily as a kid. A very long time ago, but not so long that I don't remember Exactly what it used to taste like... Idk what you guys did to it but it's simply awful. I couldn't even finish my bowl. It's oatmeal and sugar- how can you screw it up So Badly?

Not brown sugar
Have loved this for the longest time but you had to change it up. Don’t call it brown sugar, when it has no sweetness to it. Wish I had not bought the bigger box.

Shrinkflation
Your shrinkflation is out of control. You are putting so little oatmeal in the packets that the cooking directions are no longer accurate. The 2/3 of a cup fill line on the packets isn't even accurate anymore. I just used a measuring cup to validate this. It actually only holds 1/2 of liquid up to the line. And when you add only 1/2 cup, the oatmeal still doesn't thicken up after more than 2 minutes of microwaving, indicating there is very little actual oatmeal in the packets.

I think I'm the only one who can taste the differe
What can I say, So they improved the recipe to make it healthier and well it taste worst, but isn't that the trade off, health food usually is bland and weird texture, that's why I choose junk food, but you can't have it both ways so I will adjust to the new taste and texture it's not horrible just different I am glad it's healthier. Nice to see a company try to improve.

Why didn’t the Canadian recipe change? Seems only USA proucts go through recipe changes.

Yuck
This had been my breakfast meal for years but no more. After increasing the microwave cook time it still seems undercooked and is like eating flavorless, indigestible wet cardboard. The sweetner is awful and sticks to the inside of the packet requiring manual removal. I guess I'll add Quaker Oats to the growing list of companies trying to fix things that weren't broken.

Give us an option for the original recipe
The flavor sucks. Why screw up a good thing? Bring back the original recipe.

TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE! Too sweet. What are the ingredients/chemical composition of ADDED SUGARS? Is Sugar Alcohol an ingredient of regular maple brown sugar? DISAPOINTED. The new formula does NOT even deserved 1 star - I would have rated it ZERO. I was a loyal customer of the product 50 years & I will never purchase it again.

Cannot believe they added Stevia. Gross.
I have eaten maple brown sugar (SUGAR) oatmeal for a long time, mostly every day. I bought another box while out of town a few weeks ago and noticed the aftertaste was weird. I had been having headaches almost every day and decided to look at the box today. I guess I didn't notice that it said Quaker Instant Oatmeal "Fiber & Protein" on the box. This has Stevia in it. Stevia gives me headaches and has a terrible aftertaste. I'll have to hand it to you, Quaker, I didn't notice too much of an aftertaste for a few days, but today it was truly noticed. Now, my headaches are totally understood. Why in the world would you do this? I guess I will check all of the boxes/items I pick up from now on. Use real sugar then headaches and aftertaste won't be a problem.

I've been eating Maples and brown sugar for over 40 years. Did you recently change the recipe? It tastes like crap now .... so disappointed. Go back to the old formula please!

I'm so disappointed in the negative comments from the folks that have been eating Quaker since the 70's!!!! This hasn't changed...YOU HAVE!!! (Please don't try the Cap'n Crunch you old farts!!!) Just had a dbl bowl of Maple/Brown Sugar. I'm so satisfied...happy actually! Continued Success (apologies for the attack...I'm just kidding...stay healthy above everything)

Lingering smell
This stuff tasted good but I smelled like maple syrup the rest of the day. It's like it excreted from my skin and urine. Idk what they put in this ..that they DONT list on the label but this was very concerning having the smell on me all day. Even my boyfriend when he kissed me 8hrs later said u smell likes syrup. And when I went pee I could smell it.

Not the same, a little terrible
I am not sure what changed but I am not a fan of this new formula. Been eating this since the 1970's no where near a comparable product. You could not have run this past loyal customers.

Definitely not as good anymore. Fairly unappealing
I was wondering why, after buying this for the first time in a long while, that this didn’t hit the same as it did. Then I found out they changed the recipe. Definitely not my favorite anymore and growing up I loved maple and brown sugar. Don’t recommend this and I encourage you to change it back to how it was.

Same great taste I remembered.
I enjoy this made with water in the microwave. Add butter before serving. Same great taste I have enjoyed for a number of years.

Never Again
I love oatmeal and the packet of Quaker's instant is convenient for workdays. While trying to cut back on sugar, I thought I would try the lower sugar option. I will never purchase this product again. The maple & brown sugar smells like celery, seems extra salty, and leaves my mouth feeling and tasting as though I ate a jar of celery salt. It's not good! Sorry Quaker but it needs to be better.

Favorite flavor - but hard to find
The best flavor, but hard to find at times. I wish this was easier to find. There’s something about this flavor that makes it so much better than just adding cinnamon and sugar / maple syrup to plain oatmeal

This is the only flavor I love and we need boxes of just this flavor. I’m tired of buying the variety pack just for the 2 little packets of cinnamon spice. WE NEED CINNAMON SPICE BOXES IN STORES PLEASE!!!

We don’t love it…
The hidden vegetable extracts (purple carrot in particular) is an allergen in this family. I didn’t realize until after I purchased it and nearly gave it to someone who cannot have carrots. What happened to just putting maple/brown sugar and oats in this?!?! Why the additional flavourings that are not necessary?
