Q: Your "details" and description say 4 grams of protein; then it says 6 grams of protein. BUT when I enlarge the contents on the photo, it says 12 grams of protein. Did Target copy & paste wrong info?

    How far would you go?

This oatmeal will answer the question "How far would you go to get shredded?" If this is oatmeal is something you would force yourself to eat in order to increase your gains, I would say the answer to the question would be "Pretty dang far." The mushy texture, combined with the weird baby food taste and smell, is enough for me to state emphatically that this oatmeal is where I draw the line.

    It has texture!

I was able to tell the difference right away. There is actually texture to my oatmeal! Flavor is still just as satisfying. Good looking out, Quaker!!

    SOO Good!

This oatmeal is SO good, and really helps with protein intake. I add some kind of fruit, almond butter (or even peanut butter) and a scroop of dry protein powder and it's absolutely delicious! Their other flavors are good as well, and adding any kind of almond butter really helps with the taste

    The way Oatmeal should taste

This is a much needed way to get more protein in everybody’s diet. I see people on here complaining about the texture of the oatmeal. This is what true oatmeal really taste like and current oatmeal has been just processed down to gruel. People need to get back to eating the way our grandparents used to eat. People need to slow down and cook it on the stove and you will notice the taste is like it used to be back in the day when your mom or grandmother made it.

I love Quaker Oatmeal. This protein version is disgusting. The taste and texture are completely different from the regular version.

Quite impressed, I admit I was leary...

I usually eat 2 packets of the regular instant oatmeal, and since I need alot more protein in my diet, I decided to try these! For starters, definitely think I can go down to a single packet, as this is way more filling. As others stated, the texture is a bit drier/chewier...but I think it tastes really good! I don't feel that is sweeter at all. All around good breakfast on the go!

    Something changed not good.

Something has greatly changed with the Protein maple and brown sugar. It is very thick and sweet. I will not buy that particular product again.

    Don't like it.

Not like the regular, chewy and hard. Use right amount of water and proper cooking time. Garbage it is or maybe the squirrels will like it.

    Perfect for busy working parents

This is a great new oatmeal product. 12 grams of protein and the taste is equivalent to the original. I highly recommend it for on the go days!

    Do not waste your money

Nastiest oatmeal I’ve ever had. The texture is chalky, flavor doesn’t taste anything like maple brown sugar, and the smell isn’t great either. Couldn’t even finish one bite. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. If you want a higher protein oatmeal, definitely go with Kodiak.

OMG, tons of sugar added, disgusting!

I was excited to see the product with the extra protein, but didn't pay attention to the label. The first time I tried it, one bite and I felt like my teeth were coated in sugar. I read the label and saw it is filled with added sugars. I couldn't even finish the first bowl and the rest of the package went right into the garbage.

    False Claims

The box states it has 12g of protein, but the nutritional facts states it only has 4g of protein. Looks like false advertisement to me.

    The best protein oatmeal

I usually buy the Kodiak protein oatmeal, but I decided to grab this one instead. The Quaker Oats version is so much better than the Kodiak one! It actually has flavor and the correct texture for oatmeal. I love it!

Horrible strange texture & bad flavor, inetible!

I never leave food reviews, but had to on this one because it was the strangest oatmeal I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve tried all sorts of healthier versions of oatmeals. First of all when I cooked it in the microwave, it literally “puffed” up which I thought was odd and totally different than all the other versions of Quaker (or any oatmeal) I’ve had before. But then I ate it and I was shocked at how awful it was, I literally couldn’t choke it down, the flavor was not good and even worse the texture was so off putting I couldn’t eat it. The best way I can describe it is if you ground paper down into a powder, and then added water to it, just awful! One of the worst things I’ve eaten in my 50 yrs on this earth, no joke. I’ll just stick to the reduced sugar variety from now on.

    Wouldnt recommend

The taste is odd, and the oats are oddly mushy. I could only choke down a few bites in hopes that I would get used to the taste and texture. I love the regular maple & brown sugar oats but the taste and texture of these is nothing like the regular one.

    Really Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This oatmeal was delicious! It didn’t have the grainy texture that you normal get from protein products which is perfect. The packaging was similar to the non-protein version.
