I like this recipe, but I do make modifications. Substitute butter for oil (I frequently melt it in the microwave). I add an extra egg to make softer cookies. Then I increase the oatmeal by 3/4 cup (4 3/4 total).

Great oat minus the packaging. This is the second time the whole content dropped out of my hands and spills. I can’t afford to lose it every time. Please fix the lid

I bought the oats packet from a local shop nearby to my home. I opened the packet and cooked the oats. And found insects wandering in my oats. Then I check the packet and in the packet insects were wondering there too. The packet was not expired I checked it. Please improve quality of ur product

To be honest this review has nothing to do with the quality or taste I still enjoy the oatmeal and the granola bars BUT I just bought a 30 pack or something of the granola bars with chocolate chips and they're so tiny it's ridiculous. Corporations have profit margin has been bigger than it's ever been in history they shouldn't be able to rip us off!!!

I really like oatmeal, but it is different than it used to be. I use Quaker old fashioned oats and what used to cook in the microwave for under 5 minutes and it turned out creamy, takes up to 10 minutes and is still crunchy. Why is that?

I’m 83 yrs old. Been eating Old Fashioned Quaker Oats all my life. For awhile I’ve been noticing this gooey substance as I’m cooking. Are you adding starch or something, it looks vet off putting. I’m eating a bowl as I’m writing this review, seems as all good things end at some time

I enjoy Quaker Oats and I feel satisfyingly full. I add raisins when it is mostly cooked and put brown sugar and milk on it in my bowl.

We love this brand, however, if you don’t want a damaged item it’s better to go to the store yourself and pick a non damaged product. When I arrived home from picking up in store I noticed it was already opened. I was still going to keep it but I noticed on the lid it says not to use. Just be careful.

What has happened to Quaker Old Fashioned oatmeal. Noticed a few months ago that the texture was thick, says to cook in 31/2 min, well that doesn’t work, had to cook for about 10 min and still wasn’t right, Al’s, the taste is bad. Well, I won’t be buying this product anymore. Threw away 2 large 42 oz boxes to the birds, hope they don’t get sick.

Love Old Fashioned Oats, cooked hot, or served cold with nuts & fruit like Muesli. Request for Quaker to list the nutrition information for COOKED oatmeal, with a clearly stated portion size of the cooked product. Also, please continue the traditional cardboard cylinder container - I put it in the compost bin, then retrieve the leftover plastic layer & rings once worms & organism have broken down the paper. The new plastic bag containers are NOT recyclable in our area and would just go to the landfill.

If you want a nice creamy texture. You must "cold cook". Put cold water and oats in a pan and bring to a boil, then simmer at least 5 minutes. Then, remove from the heat and allow it to set for 3 minutes. Delicious!

I thought I was going nuts! Liquid still standing in my bowl of old fashioned Quaker Oats after cooking! Then I come to the website thinking the instructions have changed but they haven’t. What is going on? I see there are many people having the same result. I bought the 42 ounce size and WILL BE RETURNING IT. After 50 years of using Quaker, I am done buying their products.

My husband has Quaker Oats & half & half almost every morning. I add pure maple syrup about a tablespoonful! I cook it in water for about 6 minutes! This is his “go to” breakfast! He says absolutely the best!

The cookies completely crumbled after cooking, I suspect it is a problem with the recipe. It calls for only 1 egg, but if you read the recipe on the inside of the Quaker oats box, it calls for 2 eggs. That may what would provides the extra moisture and the right texture.
