Rao's Italian Style Chicken & Gnocci Soup - 16oz

Slight chemical taste as others have mentioned in their reviews. It was also missing something... maybe parmesan? I added garlic, salt, pepper, and still felt like it was lacking flavor. Honestly, I would have been happier with a can soup at half the price.

Yeah, not what I expected at all. But, luckily I was able to whip up a new label for you guys to throw on this soup.

Tastes like moldy dirt!!!! Do not attempt and read other reviews just like mine. Gross. Gloppy mess that looked like glue when heated, and no chicken or Gnocchi. Disgraceful to my Italian Culture that is for sure.

I bought this a month ago and I'm so NOT happy I did. I took one bite and had visceral reaction. I've never wanted to spit out something so bad and I pride myself on not being a picky eater so I forced it down. The amount of spices used in one bowl felt like it was enough for a stock pot. It was so medicinal tasting yet with little health benefits as there really wasn't many ingredients and a ton of sodium. Please revise this soup. It's a disservice to gnocchi.

I just brought this soup but was very disappointed. The aftertaste is horrible taste like a cleaning supply . Will not be buying this again. I have this product and it was fine. Somewhere something has changed with ingredients that has made this a horrible soup

Truly taste like home made . I bought 3 jars and threw them in a crockpot , added some extra Gnocci and herbs and it came out fantastic . A whole crock pot fed family of 5 and still had some leftover

Overcooked and mushy, didn't like the taste or seasoning. . Just very disappointed.

I have always been supportive of Rao's products. However when I got this soup and tried it, I was very disappointed in the taste. I was shocked at the spices and their bitter taste. So that's it for me for Rao's products. I cannot waste my time and money and expectations. Good luck !

Disgusting!!!!!!!!! It was not creamy but watery. It was a greenish? I was highly disappointed.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the product, but the chicken and gnocchi soup taste is truly inedible. Metallic and just rotten tasting. I wasn’t sure if I was one jar, double checked the expiration, and I had another and it was the exact same taste. Not sure if it’s just a bad batch, but recent reviews say similar. I want to give it another chance for the price point and previous reviews, but 2/2 being inedible warranted this review.

This is far and away my favorite soup I’ve ever had. I’ve probably gotten it 100+ times. A little more rich and filling than the chicken noodle, perfect for a quick meal when sick, too tired to cook, not super hungry, or even just a little hungover (part of my cure lol). The gnocchi is super soft, with a very creamy broth and texture. Little bits of carrot and whatever that leafy green in there is are amazing too. Would recommend to anyone

Packed full of flavor! A bit watery though. The recipe should have more thickness to it, not so watery. I recommend the manufacturer to thicken it up a bit and as more gnocchi to bring up the quality rating. I’ll buy it again, but I’ll have to doctor it up by adding more gnocchi and thicken it. The flavor is outstanding though! I’ll post a picture or video at another time so you can see the consistency.

I bought this well within the expiration date and I immediately noticed an overwhelming chemically plastic smell when I opened the jar. I decided to taste a small spoonful to confirm it wasn’t my imagination and spit it out. This soup tastes like plastic. I don’t know what happened because I bought this kind before and thought it was delicious.

What is wrong with this soup? one spoonful I couldn't swallow, had to spit it out! The taste is more than awful! Did they add Ajax or floor and wall cleaner? I love the other flavors of Rao's. I ordered 4 of them & this was on sale and Target shipped it and it took a couple of weeks to arrive. I am going to try and return. If they will refund?

Something Turned. It tasted like rotten vegetables. The expiration date was two years in the future and I gave it a few bites, hoping it was just me because I really didn't want to throw away this VERY EXPENSIVE soup. But, no, it was not me. It wasn't edible. I threw it away.

I was so excited to try this chicken and gnocchi soup Because my friend raved about the Italian wedding soup, which I tried myself and enjoyed. I thought I would like this much better because this is more my kind of soup but OMG was I disgusted! I double checked the expiration date and it was not expired. I thought maybe somehow the jar was open and I didn’t realize that and there may have been mold but there’s no way because I am way too observant and I sniff and smell everything before I eat it and I would’ve seen molded for sure. It smelled fine, but when I tasted again, it tasted like cleaner and I was going to get sick. Then I looked at the ingredients to see if maybe there was sage in it, but Besides of the vegetables it said food starch, olive oil, chicken fat, sea salt, garlic, spices and oregano. I don’t know what spices mean exactly, but whatever the heck is in here is disgusting and taste like cleaner, mold and I already feel sick every day with chronic illnesses and now I feel even more sick to my stomach! You need to seriously pull this off of your shelves and don’t even sell it until you come up with someone who actually has a sense of taste because there’s no way you can be an expert in flavor and not taste this horrible whatever it is.

Looked promising but had such an off putting sour chemically flavor, that was even more disconcerting after seeing no vinegars listed in the ingredients. Love Rao's other sauces but this is the first and last time I try the soup.

My daughter bought this for me as a surprise. I had it today and it was horrible! Has a weird medicine like taste.
