However, these Disney themes arrtwork & characters are too great to enjoy. This game connects my family members & a great time to spend with each other. Though the core rules are simple, it took much time for me to understand card interactions & complex returns.

It's nice that the girls feel like they have their own card trading game and can be involved and have fun. (Even when I was growing up, there was oddly a stigma around TCGs and who could play.) Easy setup, not a hard game to learn. Strong board and pieces...lovely cards and designs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Disney Larkana Gateway Trading Card Game, and I gotta say, it's pretty fun! If you're a Disney fan, especially if you're into the whole multiverse thing they've got going on, you'll probably dig this. The artwork on the cards is gorgeous. Seriously, they've pulled characters from all over the Disney spectrum.The gameplay itself is pretty straightforward to pick up, which is a plus for someone like me who doesn't always have the patience for super complicated rules

I believe this game is meant for older kids and that it was over the head of my younger school-aged kids. I would probably not attempt to play this game again.

With a almost 7 year old if we tried to play this without a set that walked ypu through it she would have been lost. The game is fun and we now have bought more Lorcana cards to play more versions!!!
