Ravensburger Disney Villainous: Treacherous Tides Board Game

Received not as advertised. I got the standard version with no sleeve and no limited edition character. The game is fine, Target failed to send what was ordered. Don't show pictures of the special Target edition if that's not what you're selling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so excited we had to buy more. So we got another regular pack and Star Wars, so we can have two games going. It takes a while to learn, but the characters are great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love playing Disney Villainous at our house so we were super excited to get these two new characters to play with. The boards are beautiful and the pieces are very high quality and well made. These characters had a lot of dimension to them and were really fun to play with. I really enjoyed the Davy Jones board especially. It was an exciting board that I liked the objectives for. Play with just these two boards or play with any of the other Villainous series to make things interesting. Always exciting to have a variety of characters making each game unique from any others. Can’t wait to collect even more sets for more game variances!

Our family members from age 10 to adult play. Capt. Jack Sparrow is a favorite villain. I highly recommend this for game night or a gift.

It comes nicely packed, the packaging is pretty cool and everything seems to have a good quality, well made. The most of pieces of this game has a dark color, perfect for the villains theme. The game is easy to understand, it seems to be entertaining and it keeps the players away from devices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited that I was able to get my nieces and nephews and my daughter together to play this game. I personally didn’t have the extensions so if I didn’t have the extensions, it kind of would’ve sucked that me and my daughter would’ve only been able to play. My niece had a bunch of the extension so it made it really fun to have a big group of us play. This game was pretty challenging for my first time but I think if I continue to play it more I’ll be able to figure it out. I love all the graphics on the game and all the pieces were super cool. I just wish they had at least one or two more characters some more people can play this specific extension pack.

It also only works with two players, which felt very limiting compared to other board games. Playing it was odd and didn’t flow as well as expected, so it ended up being more frustrating than fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got Treacherous Tides since we’ve been pretty into the Villainous games in our house. Overall it’s… fine? Like, it’s not bad but it’s not amazing either. The cards are actually really nice - good quality and the artwork is solid Disney stuff. If you’ve played other Villainous games, you know what to expect gameplay-wise and this delivers on that front. The nautical theme is pretty cool and it plays well with the other games we have, which is a big plus. My kids had fun with it when we played, though they didn’t immediately ask to play again like they did with some of the other Villainous sets we’ve tried. Here’s the thing that bothered me - most Villainous games come with like 3-6 different villains to choose from, but this one seems to only have 2? Maybe I’m missing something but that feels pretty light for the price point. The villain figures are… okay I guess? They’re molded plastic and you can tell who they’re supposed to be, but they’re nothing special. Not terrible, just not particularly impressive either. They do the job. If you’re already into Villainous and want to expand your collection, this isn’t a bad pickup. The compatibility with other sets is clutch and it adds some variety to game night. But if you’re new to the series or looking for the most bang for your buck, I’d probably start with one of the base games that gives you more characters to mess around with. It’s basically a solid “B” game - does what it’s supposed to do without blowing your mind. The kids were entertained but it’s not going to be their new obsession or anything. TL;DR: Good quality cards, decent gameplay, limited character selection, figures are whatever. Worth it if you’re already invested in Villainous, maybe skip if you’re just starting out.

The component quality is impressive the villain pieces are detailed and the cards feel durable. The packaging keeps everything neat, which makes setting up super easy. Gameplay is a lot of fun and each villain’s unique goal keeps things interesting, even after multiple plays. It’s a great value considering how many hours of entertainment it brings. Definitely a solid addition to game night!

I absolutely love the packaging. You can tell they took time to create all the quality materials. I love that it’s affordable as well. My son and i enjoyed this game so much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is One of my favorite game. is a fun ocean-themed expansion that adds Davy Jones and Tamatoa as new villains. Davy Jones is praised for his smooth, treasure hunting gameplay, while Tamatoa brings unique mechanics but feels more random and harder to control. The artwork and components are topnotch, keeping the Villainous charm. Overall, it’s a creative addition best enjoyed by fans of the series, though not the most balanced set for beginner.

Ravensburg did another fantastic job on this expansion. Everything was great except how the game was packaged and delivered. The attached photo is the remains of a fire cracker that went off when I opened the box. Needless to say me, my oets and my neighbors all had a scare. I would highly recommend the game but I wouldn't have shipped by target.
