Ever since they recalled the Spinach and Artichoke good gather hummus, the recipe is now thin and runny. It used to be the perfect consistency and I have no idea why they changed it. That and the fact that it is nearly impossible to find in stock, I'm not sure that I like it as much anymore.

Seriously tastes like brownie batter! Without all the extra carbs and a little fiber. When I need a lil chocolate-y something, I don’t feel as guilty going for this. Add a little peanut butter, some whipped cream…chef’s kiss! It’s still hummus. Still made with chickpeas. So if that is not a texture you enjoy, probably won’t enjoy this.

The dessert hummus is my soulmate. It seriously tastes like frosting. I tend to eat cookies and pastries when I’m stressed, so lately I have been trying to find healthier options. This is much healthier—high fiber, low saturated fats, low added sugar—and still scratches that itch. I have it with strawberries and skim milk and it still feels like my comfort desserts.

Has absolutely NO sweetness to it. Just very bitter and grainy. Thankfully I didn’t get a moldy one like everyone else is, but this dip needs sweetness to it in order for it to even be remotely considered a “dessert” dip.

We love the chocolate hummus in our house. It's such a good way to get the kids to eat a sweet-but-healthy snack or dessert. The sugar content is still high, so be aware that it isn't PERFECT. The kids enjoy the mini chocolate chips sprinkled on top, which is a nice touch that I haven't seen other brands do. It's got a good solid cacao flavor to it. It would be 5 stars but of all the tubs we've purchased, a few have spoiled (mold on top) while still sealed and with 7-10 days still left on the "use by" date. I don't think food should spoil so far from the expiration date. Just check the package good and use it up soon after purchase. I'm sure Target would have exchanged them, but for $3 it wasn't worth the trip for me. We now just buy them a day or two before we plan to eat it.
