A: Hello and thank you for your interest in our products. The bottom drawer is a complete drawer and the one above it is a pull out kickplate drawer ( a drawer with no sides or back ).

I rarely give 5-star reviews because there is almost always room for improvement on products. But I was very impressed not just with the sturdiness of the materials on this nightstand, but the straightforward instructions. Most 'do-it-yourself' furniture comes with needlessly complicated instructions. The Reevo nightstand had directions that were easy to follow, which made putting this together rather easy. Assembled product looks nice and feels quite sturdy. Thumbs up!
