A: Hello FitK, Thanks for your question although i am not exactly sure what you mean by "power rating". so I will tell you that it is made for 120 voltage (not world wide) and Yes it is relatively quiet. The concept is good, but doesn't work well. I've been cutting my own hair for 20 years, and my kid's hair for 5 years. The vacuum on this unit works some, but not as well as on the cordless predecessor and leaves small hairs all over. If that was the only issue then I'd be happy, but it pulls some when I cut my own hair and I can't cut my kid's hair without pulling at least 20 times. I've never had that issue with other clippers. I've tried adjusting my technique and speed, but still have problems every time, so am convinced it's in the workmanship of this one. I'll be replacing with a better set.

The power cuts off on my brand new Remington Model hkvac2000a. It usually turns on and then the motor cuts out after 2 or 3 seconds. It's completely useless.

Vacuum chamber works great. Very little cleanup need afterward. Clippers pull hair a little more than a typical pair. Just need to move clippers slower.

This is my second device. My first stopped working unexpliccably after abt 4 years of very mild use (once a month, just on me, properly lubed). I figure it it one of those devices that work great but does not last long. Still, I like it so much and it works so well that I decided to buy it again.

I keep it short during the summer, so I give my precious head the lowest cut every week. This Remington takes care of business in less the 5 minutes. The vacuum picks up almost all hair, so I don't have to clean up much. I'm pretty happy with it so far!

I bought this a few weeks ago and I have used it twice and it has worked pretty good. I especially like the taper clips it comes with so it easier to blend in my sides. I also use another cordless hair trimmer to suit my needs. I am just hoping they last me a year or two because then I would probably buy another one when I need to replace this one.

Pulled my kids hair the entire time I used it! The vacuum was great and I loved that aspect of it but not worth it when your children are screaming and crying from the razor ripping their hair out. Great concept but that was it in my opinion.
