Q: can you use fire glass with this?

A: We do not recommend the use of fireless with this product as it was tested and designed to be operated with the included lava rocks. Use of fire glass or other third party items may damage the product and void the warranty.

Q: Is it necessary to cover the firepit in the event of rain? What happens if the lava rock gets wet?

A: We do recommend to cover the firepit at all times to prevent any damages from any weather. If lava rocks get wet nothing will happen to them is, Its just that they need to get dry to be able to use them again

A few issues....the door was too big and did not close all the way and I did not want to take it apart after putting the entire thing together for an hour. 2 years later, the knob to ignite the fire does not work. It is past the warranty time and neither Target or the manufacturer will replace the part or item.
