I’ve owned this for years and should have returned it or thrown away a long time ago. The two straps that hold the lid on are useless. They don’t stay attached so the whole lid flys off. It is a really bad design.

I just received and assembled. Fairly easy to assemble. Seems sturdy, but have two issues. One, there are small gaps on the sides at the bottom and two, the lid does not align with the hole to put a lock through it. Rating would have been higher if not for these two issues.

The box is great but instructions are not clear at all. They tell you tabs need to be removed but are not clear on the tabs and even the photo of the tabs is not fully clear. The tabs are the ones that the top pieces need to snap into. Once removed it was easy to assemble. However they also tell you tools you need and tell you screw driver, hammer, block of wood, but do not tell you what the block of wood is for. The wood is used to bang the pieces in from the top till they snap in. I was able to use my weight and get the items to snap in. I am giving a 4 out of 5 rating as I feel the pieces should have been snapped out already and the instructions should have been much more clear. I am sure I will get many years of use out of this product.

Terrible choice. Because it was Rubbermaid, I assumed this would be a good, sturdy product to hold my pool floats. I was sorely mistaken. I was apprehensive when putting it together. It seemed flimsy particularly, the lid assembly. It was secured by 2 very flimsy plastic straps, and the hinge assembly at the back was wobbly. Less than weeks later, my concerns were confirmed. There was a rain storm and the lid blew back with a small gust of wind (not large enough to topple my market umbrella), snapping the cheap plastic "hinges" and almost ripping the top completely off. I am very disappointed. It looks decent, but I wish I could give a negative star for quality.

I needed a large storage container to do double duty. My husband likes to hunt and leaves his clothes and gear on the porch. The tray is perfect for his small items so he doesn’t have to go looking all over for them. His gear and clothes fit perfectly inside. I’m happy now my porch looks clean and I also have more seating space.

This was perfect for what we need and it’s totally waterproof the stuff inside the safe!

We needed a large deck box to hold multiple chair cushions. This one works perfectly. My only complaint is that when it was put together the panels and lid didn't quite line up correctly, so it doesn't close quite right.

Great product, Bought it 4 months ago as storage box in my marina, but due to the high winds I have lost the left side panel, how can I get it on a RUSH basis since now I have an open side. Willing to pay for it. Any contact phone # or email ....??

Bought this assembled yesterday and the pins that hold lid on are garbage also the lid pin hole are all stretched out . This product is a piece of garbage.

When we finally received our storage box after FedEx lost it. It was great. Holds a lot of stuff and it is pretty easy to put together. Would definitely order again

This is an excellent box for storage of charcoal and other BBQ equipment. I would like to buy accessories, eg basket, dividers and lid pocket. Cannot find on any site where I search for "R'Maid Deck Box accessories". Re water getting in: We use a hand clamp on the box's lock site when storms are coming. Keeps lid down and rain out; prevents lid thumping noises as winds lift and drop the lid. I would like a storage basket as advertised, but not available, to store my hand clamp neatly inside. WHERE can i get the accessories?

Lid doesn’t fit properly. One side was curved and doesn’t fit snug. Disappointed at quality of this item. Would not advise purchasing.

I bought this box about 3 months ago at home depot. While the storage and aesthetic are nice, the box doesn't seem to fit together properly. The walls are always coming unhinged, and it seems as if there should be some kind of fasteners to keep everything together. Am I missing something? We're not even using this piece for seating - I can't imagine how that would work...

Arrived early, easy to assemble, sturdy construction.

Box is well constructed and it is sealed enough to keep out bugs and such. Only problem was it didn't com with instructions so it took me a while to figure out how to connect the 2 plastic things that attach to the top and sides

I love this storage seat. All the padded cushions for my two chaise lounges, and six dining chairs fit in this box, as well as decorator pillows for all the seating. Easy to put together. Makes a large seat for two people. The cushions stay dry and out of the FL sun when not in use.

Great size-easy to put together - disappointing though with the seal. I was expecting items to stay dry - was expecting waterproof

I actually returned this because I didn't like the way the top closed. I had to push in the front in order to get the top to close and it still didn't look right.

I recently purchased two deck boxes (5F21 and 5F22). I'm having the same problem with both boxes: while the pieces in each kit fit together easily, there is nothing to hold each piece in place - the pieces don't lock in place nor are there any pins. Consequently, the slightest bit of pressure causes the entire box to collapse like a house of cards! What am I missing?
