A: When fully charged all four light dots are illuminated. I have used mine every day for approximately 30 days. It has only gone down one light dot so far.

Q: Is there a lock /childproof lock on the on the slide switch? It’s hard to slide back-and-forth.

We recommend using a damp cloth regularly to remove any grime or dirt that may have accumulated on the surface. Additionally, use a microfiber cloth or cotton swabs to wipe the nodes and other components of the lighter using rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. I hope this helps! - Cynthia

Looks very nice and works fine however not a good gauge from us because we’re not burning too many candles lately mostly doing diffusers better for the environment and our overall health. Bottom line is it hasn’t failed anytime we’ve gone to use it and the charge last a relatively good time. Also much nicer than those plastic BIC lighters. Just hope it’ll light my fire logs and barbecue.🍖

This is my new favorite item for the house. I wanted to rate it 5 stars but only because mine has a flaw to it, like others stated. This is a fantastic lighter - it works like a charm (a single charge seems to last forever), and looks so nice that I could keep it on the dining room table if I wanted. It has a great vintage look and has a nice heavy feel in the hand. Everyone who sees it asks where I got it. I don't know why, but my husband has always had trouble using the type of lighter that has lighter fluid in it. He has zero trouble with this one. But mainly, it just looks soooo much nicer than the plastic ones. There really is no comparison.
