I've been using Ring Outdoor Cam Plus - Battery for quite a while now, and I have several of these cameras installed around my house. I can honestly say it's a very convenient and practical security setup for monitoring the property. What I like most is that the cameras are completely wireless. I was able to place them in different areas around my home without worrying about cables or complicated installation. It made the whole setup process very simple - just install, configure, and everything starts working right away. The video quality is good, especially during the daytime. I can clearly see what's happening around the house, whether it's people moving, cars passing by, or general activity in the yard. Battery losses power in less than a month on lowest settings making you miss most people that are walking up the sidewalk. Also like my other cameras it isn't made to plug in. SUPER Waste of money!$$

I ordered online from target - I am a very busy individual who does all of her shopping online. The camera I received was defective and the battery is not charging. I contacted customer service and they said I was only able to make an in store return, even though I received a defective product and I have their CC, and spend thousands of dollars a year in target, I was told they couldn’t make an exception. Customer service as of lately has really decreased. Terrible experience. Makes me not wanna buy tech from target anymore. Angelo assisted me and did nothing for me.

If you're experiencing battery charging issues, here are a few things you can try. First, test your outlet to make sure it's working properly by plugging in another device. Then, try a different charging cable or USB power adapter, as the original Ring cable works best. If your device has a removable battery and the Ring app battery percentage doesn't change after charging, make sure you've placed the battery back into the device until it clicks into place. Once the battery is reinstalled, the new charge percentage will register in the Ring app under Device Health. Additionally, if it says Offline under Network Signal Strength, your device needs to be reconnected to your wifi. Even if your battery is charged, your doorbell or camera won't work unless it's connected to wifi. You can tap "reconnect your Wifi Network" and enter your wifi password to reconnect. Ring is horrable
Don’t buy any ring cameras from here they are not considered an authorized ring dealer and ring will deny any warranty’s because ring says they did not authorize the sale!!! Stay away from ring anyways it doesn’t work I’ve been broken into 3 times and was not informed of any people or burglaries by camera at all

Follow these steps to charge the battery pack for your device: Open the battery compartment: Remove the security screw first. Twist the battery cover counter-clockwise to unlock it, then remove it from your Ring Outdoor Cam Plus. Remove the battery: Press the metal release tab to unlock the battery and slide it out. Charge the battery: Connect the charging cable to the battery's charging port. While charging, your battery displays two colored lights, a solid green and an amber light. Doesn’t work half the time,I pay monthly for the subscription and it won’t even let me pull up live views anymore. The person notifications only let you see a quick view and then cuts out. The quality is awful, you can’t make out faces or anything. Don’t waste your money, go get a different brand camera.

Usually, video qiality issue and devices losing connection repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss. To determine whether the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. Your Ring Outdoor Cam Plus will adjust video quality based on your internet speed. For optimal performance, it requires a minimum upload speed of 3.5 Mbps. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI. If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Wireless networks utilize different channels for communication. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band uses channels 1-11 and the 5 GHz band uses channels 36-165. terrible battery life. the first charge lasted about 14 days. I just recharged it, and after 3 days on the same settings, the battery is already at 62%. also, terrible "night vision" even though I have a separate porch light and there's a street light about 25 feet away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a hard time finding the right spot for this camera but then I realized it didn’t need to be outside! I just needed to see the drive way. I have a room with the perfect window that faces out. This has proven invaluable as a person with 3 dogs -one who doesn’t like guests- and a busy household with people in and out of the backyard regularly. One quick glance at the camera to make sure no vehicles are in the driveway and the dogs are free to go wild in the yard! If you need something simple that doesn’t require a speaker and doesn’t require any technical skills, I highly recommend this. It makes me feel safer when my husband is traveling and helps me know I can keep backyard guests safe from my crazy dogs!

Easy set up, quick peace of mind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a great, easy to set up and use product that works smoothly. Should have purchased one sooner! Setup is super easy! Just scan the QR code on instruction manual and app pops up with step by step visuals. The longest part of the process was charging the battery, which took a few hours. My only challenge was removing the bottom of the camera to get to the battery. I have autoimmune issues and removing the bottom and the battery was challenging with weakened hand strength, but not impossible! Just took a moment longer. Next step was mounting. I have a brick home and didn’t want to drill into my brick, especially since tech evolves so quickly. Thankfully, I have a transom above my door and was able to set up the ring camera there—perfect solution! In high winds/tropical storm season, I’m not sure it will be stable enough. An adhesive or clip on option might have been a more secure addition to the product. I live in a super rural area so having the ability to remotely view my home and visitors was a nice addition while I was out of town. App worked quickly and smoothly to relay live views and videos of visitors. Streamed smoothly with spotty cell service. Added bonus is that you can change the motion sensitivity and schedule times and days for alerts. Ring gave peace of mind while I was away for the day. Monthly plans are affordable with multiple tiers. Love that!
