Hate this camera! When you need it the most that's when it will fail on you. Constantly says it's offline. Constantly disconnects. Our router is brand new and we have no problems with any other device connecting to wifi. Absolute JUNK!!!!

The Ring Spotlight Cam 2K Battery was designed to provide you with Retinal 2K video, motion-activated spotlights, and real-time alerts to give you peace of mind about your home security. What you describe is not the experience we want you to have, and rest assured we are here to help. It sounds like your device is not performing as expected in regards to staying connected to your wifi network. Even with a new router, there are several factors that can affect your camera's connectivity. Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the issue. First, check your camera's wifi signal strength (RSSI) in the Ring app. Open the Ring app and tap the menu (☰) in the top left corner. Tap "Devices," then select your Spotlight Cam 2K Battery. Tap "Device Health." Look at the "Signal Strength" under the Network section. A green signal is ideal, while a red or poor signal may indicate interference even if your router is nearby. If the signal appears weak, try the following steps. Power cycle your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. Your Ring device will automatically attempt to reconnect. Ensure your router is broadcasting on the 2.4 GHz band, as the Ring Spotlight Cam 2K Battery connects to 2.4 GHz wifi networks. Some newer routers combine 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network name, which can cause connection issues. Separating the bands on your router may help. Check that your router's firmware is up to date. Verify your battery has a strong charge, as a low battery can cause your camera to go offline. You can check your battery level under "Device Health" in the Ring app. Try reconnecting your camera to wifi by going to "Device Health" in the Ring app and tapping "Reconnect to wifi." A Spotlight on Home Security 💡
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ring Doorbell has been our home’s go to for intercepting visitors both when we are away and at home. Ring’s 2nd generation Spotlight cam was the perfect addition to our existing suite (doorbell and stickup cam). 550 lumens light up our walkway with crisp clarity, day or night. We were able to adjust to ensure it’s not going off too often; just enough to pinpoint anyone getting close enough to the house. The added security gives us peace of mind when we are out and about or, better yet, the next time we take a trip out of town. We were so pleased to add this new cam to our dashboard so we can seamlessly connect and monitor all points of our home, from front to back. If you’re on the fence, I recommend going for it. We thought three cameras were enough but honestly, this addition has covered a blind spot that has already eased our minds.

Great camera with spotlight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m loving this ring spotlight camera so far! The installation is a bit of a pain. You either need to hardwire it, get a solar panel attachment, or plug it in to and outlet which is challenging for the position it gets placed in. Once installed the camera is awesome! The spotlight feature is bright and is so helpful for night time viewing and gives me peace of mind to help keep animals and anyone who’s up to something away. The ring interface is easy to use and I love that I can get notifications for any alerts!

Lights up the entire yard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only does the spot light illuminate the entire area the camera covers, which is an extremely large both horizontal and vertical area, it also captures a very crispy picture both in the daylight and at night. I have it set to go off with motion from people and it has captured quite a few videos without making a huge impact on the battery the way others I've tried. Insulation was a breeze, charge and screw in the base and your up and running with the app. Overall, I've been impressed.

The camera is sturdy enough where it won’t move in 70 mph winds. It doesn’t overheat in the direct sun either. Another thing that sold me was there is clear video with zero glare. Have a trespasser at night? Or the neighborhood cat gang walking in the street? Guess what? It’s completely clear on the camera. Faces and all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having a much older Ring Camera model, this one is absolutely spectacular! It was so easy to setup and connect to my Ring account and I love that it can be used with a battery or plugged in (if you buy the cord separately.) I also really love that it can hold 2 batteries at once, which is extremely helpful if you are powering it by just batteries. This model also can be opened with a regular Phillips head screwdriver, instead of the previous star shaped screwdriver. This camera is incredibly responsive and fast! I don't get any lagging or frame skipping like my old model had. The picture quality is amazingly sharp and clear and this camera will give you a great, detailed description of each motion event. I appreciate that it also has the setting to only trigger the camera if a person is detected because we are currently using on our RV and I'd hate to have the camera go off with each vehicle it sees! The floodlight is wonderful too! It's bright and only comes on when there's motion at night, which really helps to save the battery. Amazing camera system and the best Ring Camera I've tried so far!

Being able to talk through the speaker and check on my 13-year-old, while I'm in the kitchen making lunch makes me feel so much better honestly. The install was the easiest part.It was incredibly straightforward and took less time than I anticipated. The video quality is surprisingly clear you can even zoom in. If you're looking for something easy to set up , that gives you a total piece of mine , this is it!!!

Great night camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a Ring household and we luckily got to add this one to our house. We placed it easily under our garage. The light came on when I walked about 8 ft from it. The image quality is great and I was able to easily zoom in to see my face clearly in the night. The light went off shortly after stepping away which will help with battery life. Most of all I love the alarm feature where you can sound an alarm should an intruder approach.

The item came packaged very well and was very easy to unbox. There aren’t a lot of parts but everything was very clearly labeled. It comes with easy to understand directions and mounting hardware. The setup was really straight forward and the camera was up and running in a very short amount of time. We were able to sync everything up in our app without any difficulties and so far we are very happy with this spotlight camera. It’s a nice compact size which makes it great for really any space. Overall we are very excited to have an extra level of protection and monitoring with this product.

Setup is very easy as well as connecting and installing. I like that you can install 2 batteries so you don't have to charge them as often. The spotlight is very bright and the siren is loud. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super helpful product, we’ve been dealing with coyotes in our neighborhood, and I’ve been working to figure out if they’re coming into our yard or not so I’ve been moving the camera every few days to see if I can catch any activity. So far, I haven’t seen any of them coming into our yard, but this helps me feel safer to know what’s going on when I’m not outside watching.

This Is A Must Have For Security

Clear images
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera quality is really nice, and the 2k video looks clear day and night. The motion lights are bright, and I like getting alerts whenever there’s movement. It was pretty easy to set up, once I got everything together. The only issue was that it came with the wrong power wire, so I had to find one that worked before I could use it. Otherwise then that it has been working great.
