The Blink Wired Floodlight doesn't require the Sync Module for any of it's basic functions like Live View or Motion Alerts, but it does allow you to save local recordings of motion events via a USB thumb drive you might have. Once both devices are properly set up via both the Blink app and the Alexa app and the Blink skill has been enabled in the Alexa app you will be able to view your Blink cameras by asking “Alexa, show me the floodlight camera” for example. A: Hello Joshua! On the Blink Wired Floodlight Camera both the light and camera are motion activated. The floodlights will turn on when motion is detected by the cameras motion sensor, not just the camera itself capturing video. I hope this information helps, have a great day!

Good Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a have a very old house with side facing doors with long wide yard space I needed a security system to cover most of the area. The Blink Wired Floodlight Camera was the go to. It came with a variety of screws to mount which was good ,wall mount plate, installing instructions pretty easy to attach to needed spot. The motion detection flood lights are very bright and adjustable long points along house the other toward yard. Can use the app to set up ,play back an audio on the phone. Haven't signed up for subscription yet plan to do so soon.

Nice features

Motion sensor high definition camera, communication and even a warning siren to alert the intruders and or unwanted critters to chase them from the protected area. Bright Light!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our house already had a wired flood light so the Blink wired floodlight with camera was simple to install. The motion detection is useful to have the light come on when I just need to make a quick trip in the dark to the trash cans on that side of my house. At this point, I am not subscribing to get the “person detection” feature since I haven’t had many false alarms. Video quality is excellent and the audio feature is clear but not very loud. I haven’t tried the siren yet but looks easy to do on the app. I bought a blank magnetic plate to put over the light switch in my house so that it doesn’t accidently get turned off.

Good Camera

I think it's a nice camera to protect your home during the day and night. It does have a decent picture and video quality. However, for night time, it does need extra light to get a decent picture. Overall, I think it's not a bad camera for a price and it will help you to protect your home.

Clear directions and clean packaging

However, don’t love that it makes you download an app and pushes you to buy their storage options etc. but I understand it may be necessary/standard. It wasn’t totally easy to find a place to install it on the home because it recommended it be placed 9 feet tall. But it is a useful product I was looking for.

Fantastic clarity!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend this Blink wired floodlight camera. It has a clear 1080p video. The color enhanced night vision video is a real plus. It has advanced motion detection that you can set your preferences. You can manually turn on the floodlights through the app and set the timer to your preferences. This floodlight does have the option for dusk to dawn. I prefer having the lights stay on during the night. Each of the two LED lights can be individually adjustable and are 1300 lumens 2600 lumens with the two lights and they adjust side to side and up/down. The clarity of the video is impressive. Pros: Color enhanced night vision, dusk to dawn settings, 30 seconds to 15 minute motion video choices, completely adjustable, clarity and LED brightness. Easy install. Cons: None.

Great camera

The camera gets a very clear picture. We have it up pretty high and it gets a good clear video when motion is set off. It is very easy to set up and use. I highly recommend this for all ages. I feel a lot safer with it and the light is bright.

Excellent Floodlight Camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This floodlight camera works great and meets our needs perfectly. The floodlight: - It is *bright* which we like, but it’s also dimmable in the app. - It can be motion activated, and the floodlight motion detection can be controlled separately from the camera. We like this detailed level of separate control for motion sensitivity. The camera: - It’s very, very clear. The floodlight obviously helps with clarity and video quality at night, but the camera’s night vision without the floodlight is pretty good also. - As mentioned above, the level of detail for control of alerts, video quality, storage, etc is awesome. It can even identify people vs other motion and send alerts accordingly. Whatever your preferences for managing security video, this camera should be able to handle them. Overall, we are very happy with this floodlight camera and would definitely consider adding another one!

It lights up the yard very brightly. Itvhas motion detection, a siren and can also see in the night as well as the day. It's also very simple to setup with the app on your smart phone. Ideal spot might be your driveway where you need some surveillance and a security light to ward off would be criminals. Easily check on your echo with the sound of your voice. I replaced my light on my back patio with it and after the safe and easy install it provided that extra protection to the back of my home. Got to love the two way audio and with the motion detection.
