Robitussin is my go to cough syrup when my children or I get sick. It works quickly and is a brand I trust. This one smells decent but the kids don’t love the taste. That said, It’s definitely not the worst they have taken. Overall i would recommend.

Within the first day, it started loosening the mucus and made it so much easier to breathe. The texture is thick but smooth, and the taste is tolerable compared to other cough syrups I’ve tried. It really helped reduce both day and night coughing without making me feel sleepy. I also liked the packaging — easy to pour and measure the right amount. Definitely a reliable choice for cold and cough relief! Ingredients healthy and good. Scent good .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bottle of Children's Robitussin Cough and Chest Congestion DM grape flavor from Influenster in exchange for my review. My kids aren't currently I cannot really try it other than based on my previous experiences. This would have came in super handy a month ago, when both my kids had a bad cough. I haven't used the Children's brand since I was a kid, but this is a brand I am strongly familiar with and typically associate with higher quality. I use the adult cough syrup with this brand instead. Recently, I used a store brand children's cough syrup with similar ingredients as this one. In comparing the two active ingredients, the store brand has 5 mg of Dextromethorphan HBr and 100 mg of Guaifenesin per 5 ml. For Robitussin, there is 20 mg of Dextromethorphan HBr and 200 mg of Guaifenesin per 20 ml. This means there is less Guaifenesin in Robitussin per ml if the proportions are the same, which is surprising because I would think it would be the other way around. However, when looking at the dosage, the store brand requires a lower dosage, ranging from 2.5 ml to 5 ml for 4 to 6 year olds, 5 ml to 10 ml for 6 to 12 year olds while Robitussin lists 5 ml for 4 to 6 year olds, and 10 ml for 6 to 12 year olds. Only the Robitussin additional lists 20 ml for 12 year olds to adults. This makes the Robitussin slightly more versatile in keeping one product in the household rather than buying a separate one for adults. Also, the Robitussin one does not state that it's a non drowsy formula, so I would proceed with caution when administering this medication. Either way, I would still consider buying this brand in the future and am glad to have this on hand in my inventory, especially given that winter season is approaching.

It has a grape flavor which the kids love and they actually think they’re having a treat. It makes giving them medicine so much easier. It contains a lot of product so it is a great value. We received this medicine (free in exchange of review) but just in time as F cannot stop coughing and is just miserable. We went through a few other meds and nothing was cutting it. This one has a decent grape flavor though she admits it’s still “yucky” and wishes it tasted better. Can’t do much when it’s medicine… but the cough is controlled and I feel like that’s a good win.
