Description

For the Tibetan mastiffs living on Snow Mountain, a dog’s life has a simple riff: Guard a peaceful village of wool-making sheep from the thuggish wolf Linnux (Lewis Black) and his rabid pack. To avoid distractions, mastiff leader Khampa (J.K. Simmons) forbids all music from the mountain, but when Khampa’s son Bodi (Luke Wilson) discovers a radio dropped from a passing airplane, it takes just a few guitar licks for his fate to be sealed: Bodi wants to be a rock ‘n’ roll star. Yet that means defying his father’s wishes, heading to the city, and locating the legendary — and reclusive — musician Angus Scattergood (Eddie Izzard), who needs to write a new song and fast. If Bodi can put a band together, help Angus with his song, and defeat the wolves’ plot to take Snow Mountain, his life will be in tune. Bodi will become what he’s always dreamed of being: More than a dog…more than a Rock God…he’ll be a ROCK DOG!

Saved my life

before I watched this movie, me and my boyfriend were having fights every night and day and he eventually broke up with me. I felt sad and then I bought this movie. glad I did because now I am happy. I even gained a six pack, got married and have 3 kids who for some reason don't look anything like me. this movie cured my straightness because now I lust for the male main character. I lust him so badly. thanks, Rock Dog for showing me the light and fixed my ever changing depressive life.

Love This Family Film

This movie is so fun and heartwarming, and while there isn't as much music as I'd hope, what's included is amazing. The characters are funny and lovable and the story is easy-to-follow, but entertaining for the whole family. The DVD/Blu-Ray also has some really interesting special feature segments about virtually every aspect of how the film was made, and as a huge fan of Adam Friedman I found the segment about his involvement in the musical aspects of the film to be very entertaining. I highly recommend this film for just about everyone, but especially families and music lovers. And no fan of Adam's should pass this up!
