Description

A staple of Japanese cooking, Roland Foods White Miso Paste infuses dishes with a delicate, salty umami flavor. This miso is made from fermented soybeans and rice to create a slightly sweet and mildly salty paste with a wonderful depth of flavor. In addition to traditional miso soup, this Japanese fermented soybean paste can also be used as an ingredient to enhance marinades, dressings, stocks, and spreads across a variety of cultural cuisines. Miso paste is best added to long-simmered dishes at the end of cooking, with care taken not to boil the miso and kill the active bacteria in its cultures.
