RTIC Outdoors 65qt Hard Sided Cooler

I bought this cooler for my husband’s birthday, and it is perfect to fit drinks and food in with plenty of room for ice!

Yo, Currently camping with my new coolers. Had a RTic water bottle and it was so hardcore I decided to check out there coolers. I bought a 65 quart Ultra Tough and a 52 quart Lite with wheels, complete with accessories. Day five and we still have ice in each cooler having opened and closed constantly. Nice to have ice that long. So far they seem indestructible, time will tell. However I do believe they will be legacy coolers. I got the graphics (a Grizzly) be sure to personalize yours. Pros: I usually fill a cooler with frozen water bottles instead of loose ice. Filling the cooler half way with frozen water bottles, after five days all the bottles had at least half of the bottle still frozen which was impressive. Form factor is nice, there are two ways to carry, with ropes and with grab handles. Build quality seems robust and substantial. There are two valves built into the cooler, one to release pressure and the other to drain which is nice. Rubber toggle handles seem durable and easy to latch. This cooler seems to be mid tier when it comes to price which is a good selling point. The interior of the cooler has flat smooth walls with limited crevices which should aid in cleaning. Cons: The cooler door has some weight to it. I kind of wish there was a way to install a soft close hinge to these cooler doors to prevent kids fingers from being slammed when the door falls shut. The slide in divider and dry goods tray that you must pay for separately seem a bit flimsy, I wish these were made with greater heft. I wish the drain/pressure valves were permanently attached to the cooler with a string or lanyard to prevent the valves from being lost if they accidentally come out. Overall happy with the purchase.

I absolutely love Rtic for its quality and value. I have many of them but am very disappointed in my last purchase, a 65 . It does not have a built in bottle opener. This is veri inconvenient. Had i known that I never would have purchased

Needed a new cooler to fit all my beverages for camping. Put three 5 qt. blocks of ice and it lasted 5 days in hot weather. Well worth the price.

For the money we spent on the cooler I expected it to keep things cool for longer than it does. We specifically bought this cooler for race days where we’re at the track all day. Despite keeping it in a cool shaded area we had to put ice in it just about every hour which meant leaving the race track to run to the store and get a bag of ice and come back to fill it with ice. We’d fill it almost all the way up and within 45 mins to an hour the ice would be melted. Wouldn’t spend my money twice on it. Very disappointed.

I reached out to Aaron about a warping lid issue after a week of use sent me a replacement and the replacement is doing the same thing. I think it’s just a bad batch of coolers.

Love this product. Kept ice for seven days!!!! Perfect size! Love the two drain plugs, the divider, and the dry goods basket! All were as advertised! Yeti quality without the price tag or the risk of being targeted by thieves if left unattended. Best cooler I've ever owned for real!

Color is exactly as advertised and the chest keeps drinks cold for a long time! It's heavy, but all good 5-day ice chests are heavy because they are foam filled. Great for the boat!

Love everything about it except, and this is on me, it is heavier and more unwieldy than I expected.

Love it. Just the right size I needed and wanted perfectly fits 2 quartered up does or one big buck in it.

When I purchased this, I packed a cooler and the ice didn't last a day, but it was user error because I didn’t cool down the cooler first. Once it was cooled down, the ice lasted for a week.

Cooler does not keep ice frozen ice melts within one hour. Also, the personalization name is peeling.

First impressions are very good. Fit and finish of the cooler are exceptional. Purchased this cooler specifically for our side by side along with the mounting straps. After 3 days still has ice left in it. I would recommend this cooler.

Great quality, keeps ice and product cold for days without the big price tag. RTIC stands behind their product and delivers what the say.

I read on the RTIC website that the coolers (ultratough 65) can keep ice cold for up to 5 days. We did a test run where we put ice in the cooler inside our air-conditioned house. While the cooler remained cool for several days, the ice melted after just one day. We only opened the cooler three times that day for short intervals to look at the ice. Not living up to our expectations.
