Rubbermaid 2122587 Pitcher, Clear/Red, Plastic, 2 Quart

First: the lid sticks in weird positions i.e. not completely open. I can live with that. Second: The lid is hard to get off (as another commenter said).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very nice, well made 1/2 gallon pitcher that stands up to my kids dropping it on the floor. Almost clear body let's you see how much liquid is still in it! Easy to turn red top. This keeps well in the fridge and the plastic doesn't become brittle like some do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three kids so when we make juice it goes pretty quickly, this is the only reason we might need a larger size. This is a great small pitcher for what I call "Mom" drinks like sangria and mimosa! Easy to clean for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the Rubbermaid Simply Poor Pitcher for a variety of reasons. It is the perfect size for a smaller refrigerator, because it can fit on smaller shelves; it is shorter and less wide than other pitchers I own. The lid it is easier to turn when one wants to pour due to the raised handle. I also like how a frozen can of juice concentrate can fit without wasted space. I would highly recommend this item to family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used another 2 quart pitcher to see if this pitcher could also hold 2 quarts like it claims. It does hold 2 quarts but only if you fill it to the very top. I don't really like filling a pitcher that full when it reaches the top like that, spills happen. I do like the maroon color and the way the top sits. We use it for holding lemonade in the refrigerator, so the kids can pour a cup for themselves. It's dishwasher safe too. I've washed it every night, since we got it. It comes out sanitized and cleaner than it went in. I would recommend this to friends. It has it's place in my refrigerator now.

I like that is has the option of straining ice out when you pour or you can open it to get some ice with your drink! I mostly use it for water. It doesn’t give the water a funny taste. The handle makes it easy to hold! I highly recommend this pitcher!

I have used it to cool water and lemonade, the pour spout makes it really easy to pour into a glass without any spills. The lid, although not leakproof, keeps things from spilling. Also the plastic is strong, and can withstand few drops ;). The only thing I wish rubbermaid can do better is the plastic smell. While the smell goes away if you wash it and use the pitcher regularly, but after a period of non-use (or when the pitcher is new), the smell is too strong. Kind of discouraged me from using their products just because of this. An odor eliminating pouch included in the packaging could do wonders for a good initial impression.

It also has good design elements such as amount markers on the outside, and a lid that can be twisted to either pour or seal the pitcher. I love using the pitcher for iced green tea.

Lid fits tightly on it. Most pitchers the lid is not tight enough to put in a cooler, but this one fits very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rubbermaid made a good product with the 2qt Simply Pour Pitcher. It was the perfect size to make flavored water, iced tea, kool-aid, juice, and just plain water. It is durable. I know I have already dropped it a few times. It does have a pour spout on the lid. There are two different ones to use, and you can turn the lid when not pouring so it doesn't spill. This pitcher is dishwasher safe!! It is slim so it doesn't take a lot of space on the counter or in the refrigerator. I used it most recently to make a raspberry ice flavored water. It has been known to stain. Yet, my pitcher came out clean in the dishwasher. Therefore, I would say it is definitely a good quality.

It's got a uniquely shaped handle, much larger than the usual handles so it's a lot more durable for cold drinks which oftentimes include heavy ice. I don't need to hold the bottom of the pitcher along with the handle to ensure it doesn't spill thanks to the handle. The red cover is also a bit deeper than the plastic pitchers I've used in the past so it stays snug and is removed with ease. Overall I really like the quality of this pitcher and it's especially fit for the outdoors in the summer months.
