Q: I was trying to use the spray on a clean surfaceof a metal table, but I could not get an even finish! it has drips, bumps and inconsistencies. Is there any tips & tricks? Should I apply a second coat?

A: Happy to help. To remove the child safety cap on Rust-Oleum Imagine Spray Paint, insert a flat head screw driver in the notch at the base of the cap, gently twist the screwdriver and the cap will pop off. Do not force the screwdriver into the opening. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

I'm not one who often writes reviews, but hypocritically am someone who always relies heavily on them and I'm here to tell you if you are on the fence about this spray paint GET IT. I live in a house built in 1927 with tons of original old hardware and accents and am currently in the process of giving it a bit of an uplift, specifically the bathroom. Finding polished brass hardware, shower head and tub faucet, etc. has been nearly impossible because they just don't make that finish anymore. After an extensive search I was able to find just about everything except a polished brass shower curtain rod, toilet paper holder, and shower caddy. I went out on a limb and purchased this spray paint due to Pinterest projects I had seen with it and other reviews. It is just about a perfect match to the rest of the gold accents in my bathroom and I am pleasantly pleased with the results! It also saved me a ton of money not having to buy the accessories since I was able to just spray paint all of it! Highly recommend!

This spray is awesome! I did a few light coats of this gold spray paint and it came out perfect. I used the rust oleum universal bonding premier first and let it dry so that the spray paint will last longer.

This product is a high shine gold metallic look, the tone is very close to real golden tone. The cap is a bit difficult to take off but it’s childproof for sure. Letting it dry fully overnight is best. I touched it after a few hours and ended up smudging it. And the price is great! Under $5.00!
