submitted byHT07 - 11 months agoA: Yes, but the seat is not intended to separate from the base. It is designed to separate for cleaning and set-up, but is connected to the base by a cable. If you want to pack baby in the seat, an infant carrier car seat would be better.

Q: The straps are unable to fully come off to wash? My child got sick and I attempted but un successful. Now trying to push the straps back up through and re connect. Not sure i connected correctly. What's the correct way? Not in the instruction manual.

Let me start by saying, I don't feel like any car seat feels secure. I've seen a lot of reviews for this saying it doesn't sit in tight and I would agree with that, but I think all seats wiggle and its probably human error. Now I will say positively this seat looks so comfy and its easy to rotate back and forth. I also got the hang of tightening the straps by bracing a knee on the side of the seat and pulling the strap

We loved in the beginning but I was always iffy about it. It didn’t feel always secure to the seat no matter how tight I would lock it down. But for the most part worked a bit. Sometimes it would get stuck and when I tried to force it, it felt like I could break it. Which made me think this isn’t safe for a crash. Only had for a little over a year and it the little wire attachment to the car seat and swivel base snapped off. Also when I would snap it back on I could easily lift it up and it would unlatch meaning it doesn’t latch on securely anymore. That was my last problem to say goodbye to this and get a different brand. Not safe.

I'm blown away by the postive reviews on this. Once I brought home and installed, turned to rear-facing and was instantly stunned by the hard, sharp plastic that jutts out from the top of the base at the tether belt. Reviews and images show nothing of this piece and no one comlains about a temper tantraum throwing baby or toddler hitting or scraping their kicking feet on it! The videos have shown where the red goes away to know that it is flush, but look closer at that and the baby in full recline is going to hurt their feet. I saw on review of a mom with a 2.5 year old legs up over the back of the seat and no mention of hitting the piece. Seriously confused how this hasn't been a concern or complaint.

3 stars because we loved it while it worked, but on the literal day that the 1 yr warranty expired, the recline mechanism suddenly stopped working for no discernable reason. Now it's stuck in the full recline and also comes off the base from the attach point near the recline handle. Have to buy a new seat.

Buy the Nuna. We have the NunaRevv in our family truck and it was 1000% worth the investment. My mom wanted something similar and so we bought this one for when our daughter is with her and while it does its job as a car seat it’s definitely not worth it as a 360. It’s the absolute worst to install, turn, recline, etc. just horrible.

I hate everything bout this car seat. It does NOT rotate, I feel like I have to fight this car seat every time I want it to rotate. Half the time it won’t rotate and I just end up taking baby out of it like a regular car seat.

This is the hardest car seat I have ever tried to install. I say “tried” because after 7 attempts on 7 different days I eventually gave up. I have installed multiple car seats in between contractions during labor and this seat still takes the cake for worst experience installing.

This car seat can be pretty difficult to turn at times and I find it hard to install and even harder to uninstall. If you need something that is easy to take in and out of your car, this is not the car seat for you.

There is nothing about this car seat that is convenient. It’s very hard to turn when the child is in the seat. Straps are always in the way, difficult to tighten and loosen, cupholders pop off constantly and whenever they are on it traps my baby’s foot when trying to turn. Unsafe.

Loved almost everything about this car seat. But I feel this brand in general I’ve experienced of safety 1st the dang buckle is too close to the private area causing too much pressure on the private and also causing the latches to push into the thighs. They don’t make it to where you have adjustments for the latch itself just to continue growing the arm straps. On the fence of returning for this exact reason i hate that I see the clips push into my daughters thigh when I lock it and every time she’s crying of a melt down I’m in my head that it’s about that reason.

I bought this car seat because I currently have a toddler and am 4 months pregnant so getting the toddler in and out has been a struggle. The rotating feature is amazing - pregnant mamas definitely invest to save your back! I've read a few reviews on here that the seat does not rotate in forward facing and only in rear. That is incorrect. It is possible that others have not installed it correctly if it is not rotating in forward because ours certainly does! It is super comfortable for my child and very secure. It really isn't any bigger than our Chicco 3 in 1 that we plan to use for our second child. Great car seat all around! Would recommend.

I have to say I really dislike this car seat. If I could return it I would. The too straps always get tangled inside the strap covers. The lines on the car seat that are suppose to turn green we cannot get one to fully turn green. I read reviews of people that had the same issue. Should have listened. The only thing I like about the car seat is the fact that it rotates.
