Description
The Turn and Go 360 Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat is designed with our innovative SafetySwivel™ 360 rotational technology that lets you turn the car seat toward you, bringing you face-to-face with your little one. This rotation makes buckling and transferring your child in and out of the seat easier than ever and puts less strain on your back. Our all-in-one car seat solves the number one installation problem that 7 out of 10 parents unknowingly have—loose belt tension. Using SecureTech, Safety 1st’s patent-pending tension-sensitive red-to-green indicators on the seat’s base, you can see when your belt has tension—just look for the green!
The Turn-and-Go meets or exceeds all federal safety standards and is National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) compliant. The attached connection cord ensures that the base and seat must be used together when installed.
The visual indicator for the top tether promotes proper tether usage. Installation of the base is the same for all 3 modes of use, alleviating the need to re-install the base as your child grows. Whether you’re bringing home your new arrival or taking your big kid to school, you’ll travel in confidence through all their stages, from birth to 10 years in all 3 modes: rear-facing (5–40 lbs. and 19”–40”), forward-facing (22–65 lbs. and 29”–49”), and belt-positioning booster (40-100 lbs. and 43”–52”).

It is so hard to get it to actually rotate you are literally not even able to use the feature. And it’s aweful to try and get it out of the car if you need to because it has to rotate in order to get it out. Total waste of money.

I bought this car seat less than a year ago and unfortunately had to stop using it due to it not wanting to work properly. It gets stuck or just doesn’t want to buckle in properly therefore I feel it is unsafe. My son absolutely loved it as it was comfortable but I don’t recommend as I’m not sure what caused this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO Car Seat impresses with its sleek and modern design. The aesthetic appeal is undeniable, with a range of color options that can seamlessly blend into any car interior. The materials used feel premium, ensuring both durability and comfort. The overall build is robust yet stylish, making it a standout choice among all-in-one car seats. The 360-degree spin feature is a game-changer. This innovation significantly eases the process of loading and unloading the child. No more awkward angles or straining to get your child in and out of the car seat. The rotation is smooth and effortless, allowing parents to turn the seat towards the door for easy access. This feature alone makes the Turn and Go 360 a top contender in the all-in-one car seat market. Installing the Turn and Go 360 is straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions and intuitive design. Adjusting the car seat as your child grows is equally hassle-free. The harness and headrest can be modified with one hand, without the need to rethread the straps. This convenience is particularly beneficial for busy parents who need to make quick adjustments. The feature that stands out the most is undoubtedly the 360-degree rotation. It adds a level of convenience and practicality that is hard to beat. Additionally, the seat’s high safety ratings provide peace of mind, knowing that your child is well-protected. The plush padding and breathable fabric ensure a comfortable ride for your little one, even on longer journeys. The fact that this car seat can grow with your child from infancy to the booster stage adds tremendous value, making it a worthwhile investment. My reason for dropping the review to 4 stars is my child seemed to be a little uncomfortable in the car seat at first. It lays back a bit but I think she is now used to it. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to test this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me try out and review the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO Car Seat. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this car seat and I’ll tell you all about it. I received this car seat a few days before my daughter’s 2nd birthday (and turnaround to forward facing) and about a week and a half before a long cross country road trip so basically it was the best timing ever to try out a new car seat. Setting up and installing the seat took a while for me. It works differently than other car seats that I’ve used because of the turning feature and it too me a bit to understand how to get it right. Off the bat I didn’t love how wiggly the seat still felt after it was properly installed. The base was very solid but the place where the seat attaches is secure but wobbly because of the turning function. My daughter started off backward facing. I loved the ability to pivot the seat to face me to get her in and out. Makes it SO much easier. I imagine this would be even more helpful the younger the baby is since my toddler basically springs herself out of her seat as soon as it’s up clipped these days. On her 2nd birthday it was a fun little moment to simply turn her the other way to face forward rather than having to completely uninstall and reinstall the seat. Other features I love: -Cup holders are removable and also very large. Other car seats have a hard time fitting our Camelbak water bottles but these are super large and cups come easily out. I like that I can take the entire cup holder out to wash it. -Seat is big and comfy. She stayed very happy in the car for 14 hour drive across the country without that many breaks. -During our trip to visit family we had a moment where I needed to pick up our cousins’ babies. One was rear facing still but it was breeze to simply turn the seat around rather than having to uninstall and reinstall the seat twice. Things I don’t like so much: -the straps are kind of hard to adjust. The button between the knees is tough to push and for some reason it takes some real muscle to loosen and tighten the belt. -the shoulder pads are LONG and not removable. I think they are a little too long, which makes ensuring that the chest clip is up high enough a little challenging. Hard to imagine getting it in the right spot on a newborn. -this car seat is BIG and HEAVY.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really wanted to like this car seat - we have another brand's swivel carseat and I LOVE it for my son, so I was excited to potentially have a second one for my daughter. The aesthetics of the car seat are nice (grey and black fabric with purple accents, cushiony material) but I am not feeling great about either the difficulty I had installing it or the lack of a consistently tight fit in the car. For some context, we have two kids under the age of 5 and between our two cars and a grandparent car we have 6 car seats that I am constantly moving, adjusting, etc. I take car seat safety VERY seriously and read all manuals thoroughly and regularly. I was installing this car seat rear-facing (my daughter is almost 2) with seat belt installation. As soon as I prepped to put it in the car I realized that unlike our other swivel car seat the seat part doesn't pop all the way off the base for installation but rather kind of tips back (one side disconnects) so that you can route the seat belt through the base. Our car is smaller (I'd call it a hatchback) and we have a car seat for my son on the other side of the back seat, which meant that when I "flipped" the seat part backwards it bumped into the other seat/ didn't fully clear the base without a lot of manuvering. I was able to install the base very tightly using the seatbelt lockoff and the top teather, but when I flipped the seat back into place and rotated the seat to rear facing the install already felt loose to me. I tried the install again, and it's a little bit better, but the base still moves more than I'd like it to. I do appreciate the multiple recline positions (in a small car especially) and noticed that the infant inserts (I took them out because my youngest is almost 2) seemed very comfortable and supportive. Overall, though, I don't think I can recommend this car seat as I feel there are other rotating ones on the market that are much better in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially thought that I would be using this car seat for our newborn, but we have found it more useful for our 2 yo toddler. Since this is not part of a travel system, its not as convenient for infants. It has however come in handy for our 2 yo son. I was struggling to get him into a rear-facing car seat in my sedan (big kid, short car), but this car seat has been a huge help to load him into the car. I followed the youtube tutorial for installation which was helpful and straightforward. Its aesthetically pleasing and so far the material seems great. I did however think that it’s a little narrow if you add the cup holders. I received this convertible car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO Car Seat from Stellar Product Testing Panel! As there are only a handful of rotating car seats on the market, I’ve had my eye on them all for some time looking for the perfect one for my family. I’ve tried a couple of these rotating seats and they all have pros and cons. A few items that are important to note: Cons: Difficult to install and once installed properly it still seemed “loose”; the button to turn the car seat is located on the front of the car seat so in back facing mode I had to lean into the car to turn the seat; I found turning the seat with a toddler in one hand a bit difficult; the belt was a bit flimsy and hard to buckle; and the fabric seemed sweaty and sticky for hot summer days. Pros: Rotating feature! It was easy to pop the toddler into the car seat and turn into the correct position once it was already turned outward; once installed the seat can be rotated forward and backward (360!) so there’s no need to reinstall when the child is forward facing; the seat also converts into a booster so the seat can stay with the child through 100 pounds; there are many color choices and mostly importantly, the seat has a great price point for the rotating seat market. Thanks again, Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to review your lovely rotating car seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was recently able to test the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO car seat. Install was a little tricky reading the included directions, but the installation video on the Safety 1st website made it much easier. I really appreciate the red to green indicators to help with getting a proper belt install. It took a lot of the guess work out of install. The car seat was super padded and comfortable for my son. The padding on the straps was also very cushioned. I really appreciated the rubber on the bottom of the straps to help keep them in place while buckling in a squirmy toddler. I absolutely love how easily adjustable the strap are by just raising or lowering the head rest. Not having to rethread straps every time my child grows is a dream! The harness straps were also super long, which made it much easier to set them to the side when loading and unloading the car seat. The only two features that I feel can use improvement are the placement of the swivel handle and the color of the unlocked/lock indicators. I found the handle placement really awkward to get to and trying to hold that while spinning the car seat with my other hand was pretty tricky. I also think making the locked/unlocked indicators when rotating would be super helpful. They’re currently both blue with a white lock and it’s hard to tell at a glance if the car seat is properly locked in place. Overall, I really enjoyed this car seat and am excited to continue using it as my son grows. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this product to review! All opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to receive this car seat through Stellar Product Testing Panel and I’ve loved testing it out. Right out of the box I could see how comfortable it would be for my little one. Lots of great support for itty bitty babies but easy to use as they get older. The main feature that caught my attention was the 360 aspect of the car seat. Not just for buckling and unbuckling kiddo, but also for letting my other older kids get in and out of the van easier. As you can see in the pictures the seat would block the way for passengers moving to the back, but with the turn/swivel feature it helps them get by easy! That part is great because I have two rear/facing kids right now and two that need to move into the back seat forward facing. It was an easy install with great instructions in the manual, on the seat itself and a QR code to even scan and watch how to install as well. I look forward to using it more and I can tell my baby likes it too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The seat looks nice and the fabric seams to be standard quality, although maybe not very breathable. I love the 360 spin for loading and unloading. You could even spin a rear facing child around to the front to pull them out of a parking space was too tight to get to the side. Installing and adjusting was mostly easy. It’s very heavy so I would not want to uninstall reinstall many times. But thanks to the 360 spin you can adjust it in place to accommodate kids in multiple stages as needed! I picked up a friend and her newborn while my 2 year old was at preschool and was able to quickly adjust the car seat for the baby without having to uninstall it. I love the seat belt lock off in the base and the green light windows to show when the base is tight enough - very helpful for a safe install! One negative was that the latch clips are not easy release. But if I only have to install it once, I’m ok with that. The 360 spin is really what sets this car seat apart. Otherwise, the fabric and quality are mid-level (not luxury, not cheap). One thing I didn’t like is that once clicked into place either rear or forward facing, the seat still feels a little “wiggly” in the base. I wish it was more rigid/secure and didn’t bump around. I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel; my honest thoughts and opinions are my own.

Good Concept But Difficult to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I learned I would be receiving a 360 rotating car seat I was excited to test it out. When I switched my daughter from an infant seat to a convertible I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to to with a rotating seat or stick with a traditional one. I ultimately went with the traditional option and have always wondered if I made the right decision. After trying this seat I think I'm happy I went the traditional route. First off, I do like the design and look of this seat. The purple color is girly enough without being over the top, and my daughter looks comfortable in the seat. I am going to remove the shoulder pads. As you can see in the pictures they stick up and are in her face. There are also two cup holders, which I always think is a plus. I like that these are easily removable. It makes for easy cleaning of spills and crumbs. I also like the ability to adjust the straps up and down using the handle on the top of the seat rather than having to manually rethread the harness. The key feature of this seat is the ability to rotate it to make it easier to get your child in and out. While it does make the task easier I found it difficult to rotate my daughter into the rear facing position. The seat was very easy to rotate without a child in it, but when I added my 23 lb. daughter it was more difficult than I expected it would be. The biggest drawback I found with this seat is the installation. I have owned and installed no less than 6 convertible seats and this is by far the most difficult seat I've installed. I installed using the seat belt rather than the latch system, as the max weight for the latch system is 25 lbs and my daughter is already 23 lbs. You have to rotate the seat towards you and then release it from the base while lifting it away from you. It folds back and hangs by two steel cables. It took me a while to figure out I had to lift it all the way off of the base and let it hang. If you don't the seat falls back toward you and it's impossible to get the base installed. My seat made a terrible cracking noise both times I laid the seat back on the cables to work on installing the base. I don't know if that is normal, but it did concern me. I checked and didn't see any of the plastic cracked anywhere. It was pretty easy to run the seatbelt through the belt path and tighten it down once you're able to finagle the seat back and out of the way. The buckle seems way too close to my daughter and is very short. According to the manual you can only use the first and second buckle positions for rear facing. My daughter is fairly small at 18 months old and only 23 lbs., so I can imagine with a larger child this could be very uncomfortable. Luckily it doesn't dig into her legs, but it does making buckling her in a little more difficult because the buckle is so short. The wedge pillow must be used until the child reaches 30 lbs. It seems to move around and you can see in one photo of her how it is crumpled up under her legs. This was when I was adjusting the straps and making sure the fit was right before i put it in the car. Finally, I had a really difficult time tightening the straps past a certain point. When I was fitting her in the seat I was using both hands and much of my body weight to tighten them and, as you can see, they were still loose. I really have to tug and pull when it's in the car to get them tight enough. Overall I think the concept of the 360 rotating seat is great, but there is certainly room for improvement in the design of this product to make it easier to install and snug up the straps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this rotating carseat for our toddler! He is our 3rd and battles the carseat most of all. It is much easier getting him safely buckled in when we can rotate the seat to face us then rotate him to forward facing. Also, it saves our baby boy from so many head bumps when trying to lift him into his seat. We have a summer full of travel and this rotating car seat will make getting in and out of the car a much smoother process! Other notable things: it was easy for me (Mom) to install solo. LOVE the fact that there is a red/green indicator when the seat base is securely latched. The cup holders are easy to install and easy to remove to clean. With some LONG car rides ahead of us (20 hours across the country) this will come in handy! The seat is heavy/sturdy, but it is very sleek looking with a lot of comfort features so the straps don’t rub against baby. This seat has it all! Convenient for parents and comfortable for baby boy. I can’t emphasize enough how much we love this Safety 1st Turn & Go car seat. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this car seat to try! We LOVE it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO Car Seat is a good addition for our family’s traveling needs. Installation was simple and easy to ensure correct placement, though that being said, it may be difficult for a new parent who’s never installed one before. We love the removable washable cupholders especially as our child gets older. The adjustable headrest adds versatility for comfort and safety, our favorite feature. There is plush padding and we appreciate that the product will grow with our child. I am pregnant so the 360 rotation makes loading our toddler MUCH easier! The downside to most rotational seats we’ve seen is that they aren’t as secure as non-rotatable seats. We felt that with enough strength, you could dislodge the lock and the unit would rotate despite not squeezing the lever. A big thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the chance to test this convertible carseat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving this product as part of the stellar product testing panel I saw this car seat as luxurious and comfy. The surrounding cushion is very soft and smooth. It has belt covers and removable cup holders for easy cleaning. The 360 feature is super cool, especially when you’re having to deal with a newborn and possibly having to feed or entertain them during car stops. I currently use this car seat for my 30 pound two year-old, but with a baby coming I can definitely see my newborn safely in it. I had to remove the newborn inserts after which I securely strapped in my 2 year old. I really like the no rethread harness and magnetic chest clips. Overall the installation process was easy, because everything is clearly marked. I did refer to the manual several times to get everything set up. I would recommend this car seat if you are looking for a 360 turn feature especially with this lower price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 360 car seat was a game changer for us with my 2nd baby thanks to the stellar product testing panel. My son's car seat does not have the 360 option and trying to take him in and out was always back breaking. My daughter is on the chunkier side so once we installed this, it saved my partner and I from a life time of back issues trying to reach into the car for her. I will say it is slightly on the bulky side but definitely doesn't take up as much space as other 360 car seats I have seen in store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product from Stellar for my honest opinion. As a product tester for the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 All-in-One Car Seat, I had the opportunity to evaluate its features, installation process, and overall performance. Here’s a detailed review based on my hands-on experience. - Unboxing and Initial Impressions The car seat arrived well-packaged with clear instructions and all necessary components. My first impression was that it felt sturdy and well-constructed, with a modern design that should appeal to many parents. The padding and fabric seemed comfortable and of high quality, and the rotating base was immediately noticeable as a standout feature. - Installation Process - The installation instructions were straightforward, and the built-in level indicator was helpful in ensuring the seat was properly aligned. However, securing a tight fit using the LATCH system took some effort. In one vehicle, I found it challenging to get the seat to sit perfectly flush with the back seat, which might be due to the size and shape of my smaller car interiors. - The 360-degree rotation feature is a game-changer. It made placing my child in the seat much easier, especially in a compact car. I could swivel the seat towards the door, strap my child in comfortably, and then rotate it back into position with minimal effort. This feature significantly reduces strain on the back and is very user-friendly. - Safety and Comfort The car seat comes equipped with side-impact protection and a robust 5-point harness system. These features, combined with the energy-absorbing materials, provide peace of mind regarding safety. The seat feels secure once installed correctly, and the harness system, though a bit tricky to adjust initially, holds the child firmly in place. - My child seemed comfortable in the seat, thanks to the well-padded cushions and breathable fabric. The adjustable headrests and multiple recline positions allowed me to find the perfect fit for my child’s size and preferences. On longer trips, the comfort level was maintained, with no complaints of discomfort. - The rotating mechanism was smooth and reliable during daily use. However, I noticed that with frequent adjustments, it started to feel a bit stiffer. This might be something to keep an eye on for long-term durability. Vehicle Compatibility - The car seat is quite large, which could be a concern for smaller vehicles. In a mid-sized SUV, it fit well and did not impede access to other seats. However, in a smaller sedan, the size was more noticeable and required careful positioning to ensure it did not interfere with the front seats. Pros - Innovative 360-degree rotation for easy access. - Versatile design accommodates children from infancy to early childhood. - Robust safety features including side-impact protection. - Multiple recline positions and adjustable headrests enhance comfort. - Machine-washable covers for easy cleaning. Cons - Large size may not be ideal for smaller vehicles. - Achieving a tight installation can be challenging. - The rotation mechanism may become stiff with frequent use. - Harness adjustment can be tricky initially. The Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 All-in-One Car Seat offers a blend of innovation, safety, and comfort that is hard to beat. The 360-degree rotation feature is particularly impressive, making daily use much more convenient. While it has some challenges, especially with installation in smaller vehicles and potential long-term durability concerns, its overall performance makes it a strong choice for parents seeking a versatile and reliable car seat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always been interested in a car seat that spins so I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to try the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When it comes to installation, I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the car seat first, testing out the different features, and understanding the different parts. The spin feature is pretty different from a standard car seat so it wasn’t a straightforward installation until we got familiar with it. The spin feature does require you to pop out the seat part and have it hang to the side (see pic) so you can install the base. Doing that can make things crowded in the backseat if you already have a second car seat installed like we did. It’s manageable but just something to note. The latch anchors were my least favorite part. They work, but they’re not as easy to undo like other car seats that have a button to easily release the latches. The tension indicators on the base gave me peace of mind during installation. It was nice to visually see that the car seat had an appropriate amount of tension instead of guessing and just going by a feeling. Overall, the installation process was pretty sturdy, and the base feels really secure. Aesthetically, the look and design of this car seat is great. My toddler is comfortable and the look of the car seat is pretty on par with other options on the market. My favorite part of course is the 360-degree spin! Being 9 months pregnant, it definitely makes loading and unloading so much easier. My toddler also thinks it is fun to spin, which is a plus. My second favorite part was that when I put my toddler in the seat facing the door while I buckled her in, she wasn’t tempted to try and get out and run to the other side of the car. The sides of the car seat base have indicators that let you know when the spin feature is locked or unlocked, which is nice to ensure our little ones are safe and secure. I like that the buckle near the crotch is adjustable in place, whereas other car seats require you to take the buckle completely out to adjust. When it comes to the reclining feature, be careful where you put the hand that’s not pushing the recline button. For example, I had one hand on the recline button, and the other hand was holding the edge of the car seat at the crotch area to help guide the recline. However, I found that if I wasn’t careful, my fingers would get pinched as I decreased the recline angle. So I recommend having the hand that’s not on the recline button on the seat part instead to help guide the recline. I also wish the location of the recline button was a little higher because it seems lower than I would have expected. The removable and dishwasher safe cupholders are really nice. As parents, we love and appreciate things that make for easier cleaning. We definitely would not want to travel with this car seat. It’s not FAA approved for use on airplanes. Even if we were to check the car seat at the ticket counter or gate, it’s just too heavy and extra bulky to carry for our preferences while traveling. My last concern will vary by kid and the rate of their growth, but it’s worth noting that the weight limit for the highback booster is lower than other car seats we’ve seen. Overall, we’re pretty happy with the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 AIO car seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I’m so happy we did. My ten month old has never like his infant car seat, so switching to the Turn and Go has been a game changer. He loves that he is facing me while I buckle him, and thinks it’s great when his older siblings turn the seat and click it into position. Also, it’s much easier to keep clean because I just rotate the seat as vacuum it out on a regular basis. It’s a nice looking seat, and the installation instructions are easy to follow. I wish it a belt with the red buttons that click into place on the latch system, but it’s not a deal breaker by any means. Overall we are very happy with this seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing this car seat was simple. I watched a YouTube video from the manufacturer and followed the instructions. It only took me a few minutes. I have a 4.5-month-old son and a 4.5-year-old daughter. Both of them were extremely comfy on this car seat. I liked how the 360-degree turn made loading and unloading easier; this will be especially beneficial with my younger child. This car seat is padded and cozy. Some booster seats are quite hard to sit on. The transition between infant and booster seats was simple. My daughter is pictured with the highest setting on the neck rest and seatbelt. She weights 42 pounds and is 43 inches tall. She can probably use this car seat for another year or two.I wish the back was taller so we could get a few more years of use. Overall, we are really pleased with this carseat. We love being able to rotate our child. Thank you Stellar testing panel for providing me with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this car seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, so to be completely honest, I might not have purchased this car seat on my own, so thanks Stellar! However, I'm also the type of person who is basically content with the base model of just about anything. That said, this car seat has been a gamechanger for my wife and I, as we are both vertically challenged and only getting older. First, I think the design is amazing. Even with the rotating base, it is somehow more compact but seems more cushioned than the car seats we're accustomed to. The base also goes higher up along the back of the car upholstery, providing a sort of kick-protection plate from our tiny rambunctious toddler. My only quibble is the strap cushions for the neck/shoulders/chest have this rubbery material on the underside that we've not had on other car seats; while they do have a premium feel, I'm confused about its purpose/function, as they can get quite warm after sitting in a hot car for some time. The 360-degree spin admittedly takes some getting used to (again, we're accustomed to your more traditional car seats), but once you remember the easy button on the base, it's basically life-changing. As I said before, my wife and I are both short and our backs are not what they used to be, so getting our last of three kids in and out of her car seat can be a pain sometimes - I didn't realize the rotating base could make it SO much easier. Our little one even thinks the spin is fun, so has been less likely to fight us getting in or out of the car seat. Installation was a bit of a challenge at first, as unfortunately the instructions weren't super clear. However, once we figured it out (which didn't take very long), we were able to install the car seat with very little issue (such as difficulty getting the angle indicators "all green", but we finally got it). I will say that I didn't like how the seat and base were attached by wires, as you have to remove the seat from the base in order to install it, so the seat is awkwardly in the way the entire time. However, I do like the tension bar mechanism which puts a good amount of pressure on the seat belt strapping the base in; we had a car base in the past with a similar mechanism, and like that one it makes this car seat feel super secure. Unlike that one, I would've preferred this car seat to have its own straps which click into the anchor hooks instead of relying on the seat belt; I think that would make installation (and the inevitable transferring) of the car seat even easier. Adjustments felt intuitive and was about on par with what we're used to, EXCEPT for the incline of the seat itself (not the base). This adjustment is cleverly built into the seat rotation mechanism, making it way easier to adjust than if it were in the bottom of the base like most other car seats we've had. All said, and it might be silly, but I think my favorite thing about this car seat is that I know I'll be able to switch her to front-facing with very little effort - instead of basically reinstalling the car seat, all we'll have to do is rotate it - that's awesome! The base doubling as a kick-protection plate as mentioned before is a close second, along with the fact that the car seat will grow with her, and we'll be able to enjoy it for many years.
