A: Maybe you got some old inventory? It always works really well for me, I do 2 layers of color + 1 layer of top coat and be sure to let dry!

It’s annoying that it doesn’t last as advertised, but I care more about dry time and moving on with my day.
submitted byCailey - 1 year agoA: The only time that happens is when I take a very hot shower. The whole nail color comes off in one piece like a fake nail. Washing dishes with hot water is bad too. The advantage is that if I want it off, I just take a scalding shower and they all fall off easily. No need for polish remover.

A: I can't believe how easy this polish is to remove with regular acetone polish remover! No scraping or soaking! I just use a cotton ball with remover and it comes right off! No more Gel manis for me!

The advanced Color and Top Coat formulas both contain an oligomer; the Top Coat also includes a photoinitiator. The photoinitiator activates a bond between the Color and Top Coat, thus curing the formula in natural light without the need for an LED/UV lamp. The formula continues to cure over time, increasing the durability of the manicure. Using an LED/UV lamp will not "cure" this nail polish as it is not designed to be used with these lamps. Love this so much because my first daughter will be here soon, will be wearing this polish in the hospital when I have her!

This is my go to top coat. I have several different types. The mate I use for solid color looks. The ultra shine I use for the glosse that lasts for days. I also have one that has glitter in it to use for fun designs. The dry time makes it so much easier to use. I have even used it on my daughter's nails to help her polish last for weeks.

It dries quickly and gives a professional, almost salon-quality finish. The formula is a little thick and can go on streaky, but with some care it evens out nicely. For me, it lasts about 2–3 days before I see chips, though if you are gentle with you hands you could probably go longer.

I started using this product a while ago, it's a game changer! I can do my nails, they are dry to the touch quickly. If you hit them with something sharp you can mess them up. If I just chill for like 15, they are good to go. I love that I don't need a uv light or soak to remove, ect...

I tried the Sally Hansen Special Effects Top Coat and really like how it makes my nails pop. It goes on smoothly, dries pretty fast, and adds a pretty sparkle that makes even a plain color look fun. It lasts a few days before chipping, which is great for the price. The only downside is that the glitter takes a little extra effort to remove, but it’s worth it for the shine

The only drawback is that the polish is extremely thin and took about 5 coats to be mostly opaque. In the future, I will use a solid polish underneath and layer this polish on top so I would not have to apply so many coats. Having to layer so many coats definitely increased the dry time and I would not say this is instant dry, but overall, it does dry down faster than other polishes I have tried, being mostly dry within 5 minutes. I would purchase this product again just for the sparkle.

It took so so many coats to layer on this polish, yet the finished look was still very much transparent. It wouldn’t work over another color due to its color, so I don’t believe it was intended like that. It only lasted a day or two before it began chipping as well.

Love the fact that it dries within a few seconds, has a nice variety of colors every season, colors are shiny, you don’t need more that two coats and is easy to apply. But some colors do stain the nails.
