Bought two of these for a dual monitor setup and one of the two went out 2 or 3 months ago. Started with a weird white screen after waking from a sleep state, but would eventually show my PC's desktop. After about a week of that symptom it eventually stop showing anything but an all white screen. Now the second one started doing the same thing and is now just showing an all white screen. I realize this model has been out for awhile, but two of this dying the exact same way within a couple of months of each other!? Makes for a very poor experience and has me looking for replacements from another vendor.

We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your monitor. Although your monitor is out of warranty, we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Support for troubleshooting to see if we can resolve your issue over the phone. If our Customer Support agent determines that service is required, they will review the flat-rate service fee for your monitor. It would not cover the cost of shipping your monitor to us, but does cover the cost of shipping the monitor back to you. You are responsible for shipping fees to Samsung Customer Service; we recommend using a trackable shipping service like UPS. You can reach Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you. Thank you for choosing Samsung. Again, I am very sorry for the current issue. We look forward to hearing from you.

You have to use HDMI port 2 to get 4K UHD HDMI port 1 only supports up to 1440p After connecting to the HDMI port 2 reconfigure your resolution on whatever you're connecting and it should work without a problem..

The VESA adapter is so on the top of the monitor to being completely useless: it was a PITA to find a monitor holder that could hang them. The screen seems not sealed so two little insects crawled INSIDE the monitor and I have them under my eyes all the day without any possibility to take them out. Under Linux with the Display Port I'm unable to use 4K resolution at 60Hz: for some unknown reason it supports only 30hz at that resolution, so I'm forced to use HDMI,

Love it! I bought this monitor a couple of years back (late 2019) and 3 years after, it still works great and is not obsolete. The resolution is great and I love the fact that I'm able to connect a few devices at the same time (2 HDMI ports and PIP)
No sound. No 4K. And not covered by warranty.

monitor does not allow sound through hdmi, screen goes pixelated when trying to watch 4k (flashes from snow to green screen etc.). the online support/registration is a hassle to complete. but the very brief warranty period doesn't cover these issues anyway. the product description is also misleading- the monitor size is actually 24" not 28".
A truly spectacular monitor for gaming

Waited years to buy my first 4K monitor. The specs, price and multiple inputs sold me instantly. Powered by a RTX3060 and everything looks amazing. My only problem is input switching, when one input powers off the menu can freak out for a couple seconds while it determines which inputs are available to switch to. Having said that, the "hat" menu button works great (minus input switching), menu options and navigation simple to pickup and understand. Fits on my standard VESA pole without issue mounted along side smaller monitors. Well worth the money, even if not on sale.
Picture is good, Selection joystick is horrendous

the picture looks good and works for games but the control joystick ruins the monitor. it has been nothing but frustrating since i got it. i have updated the firmware and reset the monitor multiple times in hopes it would fix it and it's still the same garbage. i would have loved this monitor but the joystick is that bad. it ruins the monitor and makes me wish every day i could afford to buy a new one. the joystick is unresponsive, often taking multiple presses for the menu to appear. the input selection auto choice is a joke as i only have dp plugged in and it continues to choose to sit on hdmi 1 despite no connection there and a live signal on the dp channel. turning off the monitor takes entire minutes at times due to the menu not appearing. its position also makes it awkward to use.

bought this monitor to add to my upgraded mac system. monitor is quite good by found a few issues down the track. i bought a dual mounting arm to attach the monitor only to find the mounting screws holes are at the top of the monitor, this means that the monitor would not lift any higher than it would with the stand. also when the computer is in sleep mode the monitor will turn on for about 10 seconds and then turn off again, this happens about once an hour so i have turn the monitor off when i am not using the computer. to turn off the monitor you need to use the press the toggle inconveniently at the back of the monitor and toggle to the off position and enter, this is really awkward. samsung could not assist with this issue. i would expect better design from samsung.

bought this monitor like... 2 years ago or so because i just had to have a 4k display for my xbox one x... at the time i was convinced 4k was all i cared about, but the fact is this monitor is garbage if you intend to use the hdmi ports. first off each port has different capabilities (only one with do 60hz) but neither support the suite of features this monitor has to offer. i held out hope maybe some sort of firmware patch might correct this some day, or maybe adapter technology would catch up to allow me to use hdr and vrr with the hdmi port but no avail. so on top of all that the color looks bad, i assume because i cant use the hdr. monitor has been a subpar experience for years, wish i had returned it while i could tl:dr- i should've returned it when i got it.

the vesa mount not being in the center is really making life difficult. i wish i could rotate it properly by having the axis in the center but now it has to go all the way around. and the arm also shows from the top, looks ugly. i absolutely love this monitor but vesa experience makes it a deal-breaker.

I put it alongside a factory-calibrated Dell monitor and still can't make colors look even a little decent, which is really inconvenient in dual-monitor setup when you see the difference a few times every minute. Did not had such problem with Samsung's laptop UHD panel.

Very Poor VESA mounting

I just read a review that I wished I had seen before I purchased. The VESA mounting holes are at the top of the monitor, so there is no wall mount you can get that will not show above the monitor. I just purchased and realized this, so I still have time to return. It is too bad, because I really like my previous Samsung monitors.

I purchased this monitor to connect to my 15" MacBook Pro and replace my 5K iMac. Quality seems great and similar to the iMac when scaled properly. Had issues getting 60Hz to work over HDMI, then I realized that 60Hz is only supported on DisplayPort or HDMI 2. You cannot use 4K 60Hz on HDMI 1.

I bought two of these to use as colour monitors on our two computers we use for post production on images. We use a main monitor and a second monitor on each mac. I don't need optical, colour printing excellence for the stuff we do as its not fine art or 'dogs nuts' printing but we do need to get near enough and match our output for our business as photographers. I bought these to augment, a new computer. and move up from a delightful 8 year old near excellent smaller samsung monitor and a non samsung monitor. Sorry to say this monitor does not come near the old one. I don't mind the stand, I don't mind the design and I don't mind the price if it does the job. But it doesn't, there is just not enough colour corrections options, in our case it can't get the blues right. Not much but enough and it's not like colour correction is new to us. It's not loads out but it's not near enough either, and it doesn't have to be much to cause us to have problems with customers. I'll try the other one but I expected better from Samsung.
