I bought this to use with a Macbook Air since they don't have hdmi/usb ports anymore. This was the most affordable optiopn. I'm currently writing this review with it plugged in and using the hdmi and usb portion (at the same time). I don't have anything else to plug into the usb-c portion so I can't speak to that. This is specifically for "SatelliteSale USB Type C to HDMI/USB-C/USB 3.0 Converter" version.

Bought the SatelliteSale USB Type C to Female USB 3.0/HDMI/USB-C Multiport Converter version to use with my Switch instead of the docking station. Able to connect to it with no issues. More portable than the Nintendo dock. Works great!
