Q: What is the scent of this cat litter? The box is purple so does that mean it’s lavender scented?

A: I do not smell a scent. There may be an attractant to cats that humans cannot smell. The package is a little misleading but there is no lavender.

A: No litter will be safe to flush. The idea of liter is that it absorbs liquid. This one in particular would be clumping, so it would likely stop up the plumbing.

I love the litter from this product. I also thought the container would be nice to have. The kicker is that on the bottom of this container it says “Do not reuse” that is such a waste! I bought it so I could reuse. It’s a bummer. It’s better just buying the bags. Was hoping for a reusable/refillable option for this litter.

Okay sooooo- the first time we bought this it was great at a great price point. We typically buy the dr. elseys litter but target stopped carrying the one we liked and it’s harder to find now even at pet stores (always out of stock). For a budget friendlier option in a pinch we grabbed the target brand one and at first LOVED it. we restocked recently and now… we constantly are wiping our cats paws and fur because litter just cakes on to them which was never an issue before (i worry about them licking their paws and ingesting it). It’s all over our couch, bed, and other living spaces as well even tho we keep our litter in our basement (ew). Not sure what happened or if it’s our cats but, we are going to spend the extra $$ and switch back to dr. elseys when this litter is up. This litter is SUPER fine so maybe that’s why it’s happening? Overall, I think if you are in a pinch financially, and can be attentive to wiping your cat’s paws/fur this is still a fine option. i could still recommend it for the reason of it being accessible at a lower price point per the amount you get. maybe it will work better for others - just wanted to bring awareness with our experience :)

I usually get multi-cat or arm and hammer strength odor eliminator litter because i’m sensitive to smells but i decided to be cheap and get this litter. Just pay the extra $2 to get name brand. I really wanted to like it (I bought two jugs before I decided to give up) but even just walking in the door I can smell the litter box. Straight from the jug it has no scent, no scent after pouring into the box, and smells like wet cardboard and pee everywhere after they use it.
