Scepter SmartControl Dual Handle Diesel Gas Container Jug, 5 Gal/18.9L, Yellow

This is a good size and have smart control nozzle to make it easy to control pour what you need without spilling and stop nozzle from leaking once done. I have been enjoying using this container so far.

Most fuel container companies have poorly manufactured mechanisms which results in consumers removing the top and just using a funnel. This container was very simple to operate and the included instructions were very clear.

It gets thrown in the back of the truck and is definitely not babied. I can vouch for its durable and would buy again in the future.

It’s tall enough that it doesn’t take up too much floor space, but it’s plenty sturdy so you don’t have to worry about it tipping. The handles are nice and it’s easy to pour. And the spout works well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate this new style of fuel spouts. I guess it's not the fault of the manufacturer, as they are required to add these useless features. But I miss the old-style cspouts and look for good-quality used ones whenever I can. I will say the actual canister seems solid and well-made, and you can retrofit an older style pout with some effort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the 5G Diesel tank from scepter. It has been the perfect functional addition for our Schoolie when driving into the unknown. The scepter 5G tank is made well of hard material that seems like it will withstand all the elements. Its spout is built in with a lock so it will not spill while transporting an awesome safety feature. It has been easy to fill and use.

The nozzle design is by far one of the best designs out there. When you press down on the button, gas comes out fast and the flow never slows down. The plastic container is very solid and can take a little bit of abuse while in the back of your truck. I would highly recommend this gas container if you're in the market for one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this to fuel my diesel tractor. The flow rate of the SmartControl spout would be fine for some sort of small motor gas can, but I just remove it when fueling. Pretty sure these safety spouts are legally required on fuel cans these days, so I don’t count it against Scepter. Dumping the entire tank into a vehicle is where this style of fuel can really shine against the usual ones, though. Since it has handles on the top and sides and is taller, it makes it way easier hold during the fueling process. I prefer these military style cans as they are more space efficient, too. The plastic of this can seems to be more robust than my other fuel cans because it doesn’t seem to bulge or compress in temperature changes the way the others do. Maybe that spout is just better at letting pressure equalize. I haven’t noticed it leak either. Speaking of the spout again, it’s a little different than most in its design and I find it easier to use than the others I have. It also has a place to attach the cap in the side of the nozzle so the cap isn’t hanging in the way. Less of an important feature than a sign that Scepter is strong on the details. There is a mesh in the opening to keep debris out, which is nice. My local station has off road diesel, but it has the large high flow diesel spoutd which do not fit in the opening of this can, so I have to slowly and carefully fill it. If the mouth had been a little bigger, that would have been nice, but then I don’t think it would be a standard size. Fix one problem and you have another, so I’m not sure I’d actually change that and it’s the same for all the other fuel cans I own. Next time I need a fuel can, I’ll definitely get another one of these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased to have a spare can in my truck for backup fuel, works very well, no spills or leaks that I've seen, only complaint I have is the release mechanism, sometimes it sticks and I have to forcefully mash it in order for the fuel to come out of the spout, other than that it does its purpose

It has a very easy to pour squeeze set up and this military style can has a fast pill that will not spill which is a plus for anyone using these type of cans these days. The best part I love was the controllable flow rate! Which allowed me to pour just a small amount at a time or I could just pour out the whole tank to fill whatever I needed up quickest.

A full container weighs around 35 lbs. and this container makes it easy to carry and pour without spilling. I particularly like the adjustable spout which lets you control the flow of diesel so you don't over pour.

I like to go on trails so you never know when you will get stuck or run out of gas. It holds 5 gallons which is the perfect amount so it holds a lot. I like that it is yellow and not the common color of red. It has the smart control which is nice and easy to use.

I wanted to have a little back up for when we were out in no mans land . I like the narrow shape of the can , and it's easy to strap to the side of the truck bed . My only complaint is that the fill valve can be a little tricky to operate . I wish it were designed a bit differently .
