Schwinn Flash Bike Helmet - Gray/White

fits perfect

As a 60+ year old person buying her first bike helmet, i knew nothing about size, fit, comfort or quality. I looked at Target first because their return policy is fair and the price on this helmet was too. I know the Schwinn name and decided on this one. i LOVE the safety lights on back!

This bike helmet lights up so you can be seen in darker situations and it even fits baseball caps under it...Thanks

Super comfortable fit for my large head. Was able to adjust nicely. Light on back an added bonus. Lots of holes so your head doesn’t get too hot.

I don’t understand how this helmet is for ages 14+ . I have it on the tightest setting and it’s not even remotely snug to my head. I’m an adult (a small one, but surely don’t have an abnormally small head). It doesn’t come with any extra padding so no way to tighten that either

I've had this helmet for around a year, and can't seem to settle into it. The dial on the back is cheap and not effective: while it does make the helmet diameter smaller, it also slides upward into the helmet, where the helmet is a bit wider anyway. This means that no matter how much I adjust it, the helmet slides around. I have a pretty large head, so I'm surprised it needed this much adjustment in the first place. I've had a similar issue with the chin strap: no matter how much I tighten the strap, it loosens almost immediately. I've found this very frustrating. Also, the outer plastic is already peeling off after only a year. This is a cheap helmet, so I suppose I got what I paid for. But the whole point of a helmet is to stay on your head and protect you. This one is always too loose to do that effectively. My advice is to spend the extra $10-20 and get a nicer model.

The description reads "rear light with steady, flashing, and strobe light modes," BUT the helmet I purchased only has strobe (quick flashing) and steady light mode. I've owned a kids helmet of the same brand before this one, and I feel I can get it more snug than this "aduld" one. But as long I can get this one low on the forehead, it's fine, I like the ventilation on this one! There are no pads on top of the head (like the kids one I own), but this one is definitely thicker, which is a plus!

I dislike breaking a nail just to switch between light settings

This helmet was very true to size and also very comfortable even after wearing it for a couple of hours. It was not really hot like a lot of helmets as it had a good airflow. Aerodynamic and very easy to wear.

LED in the back is nice and bright with three useful settings. Comfortable and lightweight.

The bike light fell off and fell apart as soon as you cut the zip tie. Exchanged 3 times with same results. Very disappointed in such a quality name brand. Ended up with a plain helmet instead.

Great price! Fits my small head well. I like the light and the white color for extra visibility. Lots of vents makes it cooler for summer rides.

Target deciding that gray and white are specifically feminine is weird. I wanted to buy this for my husband but, especially with his large head, was worried that the sizing would be off or there was some other "lady" feature that wasn't mentioned. (Like the back the the Hemet being designed for a high ponytail to get through.) I went to the store and Schwinn only says it is adult sized and makes no statement on gender. Hey, Target!! What's up with that?!
