The Scotch™ Precision Titanium Utility Knife is ideal for home, office, or DIY projects. It features superior titanium coated blades, which are great for cutting thick materials including cardboard, foam board, plastic, rope and more. Features an angled blade for precision cutting performance and a nonslip handle for comfort. Click and lock feature holds blade steady when cutting and resists accidental snapping. Blade retracts into housing when not in use. A new sharp edge is just a snap use the quick change cap to always have a sharp edge ready.

The Scotch Utility Knife can be opened on the opposite side of the knife slider - there is a small circle that you can place a finger on and push it away with the base of the knife. How do I change the blade?

Thank you for your review! We are sorry that you are not able to locate the information you need as this would be on the backing of the card that came with your Utility Knife. Please feel free to use the following to replace the blade: 1) Remove the white end cap on the bottom of the knife by sliding it away from the handle. 2) Detach the blade from the slider 3) Without touching the blade edge side, replace new blade on the slider inserting the hole of the new blade onto the slider insert. 4) Carefully slide the blade back into the knife along with the blade holder/end cap. If you still have trouble, please feel free to contact our team at 1-800-328-6276 Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30 CT and provide them with case 30522846.

Replacing blades
I love using the utility knife in my crafts and home use. I have had this one for 7 months. No problems until I attempted to add new blades. I thought would never get the back off. added new blade and now I can't get the back to re-attach. Short of breaking the closure I am at a loss in getting the piece to go into place. Apparently I will have to go back to the cheaper use and throw away kind, Any ideas?

Cant move blade back
Very poor system. Cant move the blade back after using. So difficult. I thought im gonna buy a quality item but cheaper one from competitor easier to use. Just wasted my money!

I Like It for Simple Cuts

Superior Knife
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This utility knife is by far the best I have used. The 3M Titanium Utility Knife is strong, has a thick blade, and cuts through objects flawlessly without breaking. I used it on thin and thick corrugated cardboard boxes, and a home project as well.
