submitted bymickey - 7 years agoA: Usually this means the device isn't all the way heated. Wait a bit longer for it to heat up and that should take care of the creasing.

A: Just a few minutes. I've never timed it but if I plug it in and then get my things ready to laminate, it's usually heated up by the time I'm done.

Fairly new and the feed try won't stay up, plus it jams a lot. It just now got an entire laminating sheet stuck in there and I can't get it out. We had this bought with our school budget, so we probably won't be able to get another one :(

It was no good on the first use. It made a loud noise and sheet got stuck inside. It ruined my project. Too bad I didn’t get a warranty.

I laminated 3 things then while I was printing the next sets it went in to the flashing green ready and will not work anymore. I used it last year no problems very disappointing as now I have to spend more money.

Broken Tray

The actual laminating part works well and I haven’t had any issues with the sheets. However, the tray has broken after a few weeks. There are tiny little knobs that snap into place and hold the tray up, but they’re small plastic pieces, and both are broken. So, I have to hold the tray up and try to get my laminating sheets into the machine. I may try gluing the tray, which means I won’t be able to store the machine in the box.
Little workhorse fits the bill!

Great little machine. I’ve used it several times now, for several months, and I have no complaints. I store it in its original packaging when not in use. The tray: Just take care and gently lift it up into position. Don’t be a beast about it. The smell: It’s a laminator. It gets HOT and melts plastic together. It’d be weird if it didn’t smell. Feeding the sheets: Insert sealed edge into feeder first. Go slow with steady hands on either side, guiding it until the rollers grab. You have a little wiggle room for good reason I would think. Just follow the directions printed plainly on the tray. Let the machine heat up (about 5 minutes), choose the mm to be used, wait for the ready light to come on, and go! I haven’t had an issue with bubbles. I have laminated 8.5 x 11 sheets and smaller cards together in one sheet to be cut after laminating. Very pleased.
Don't buy this, it's a piece of junk!!!

Hubby purchased this a couple of months ago as I've wanted one for crafts etc. The fist time I used it, it was great. Thank goodness as the item was handwritten by my late mother and irreplaceable. Today I tried to laminate several items, it just ate all of them bunching up in the machine. The first one I thought I just didn't wait long enough, nope it ate them, you can't open it to retrieve your project all you can do is push the release lever and pull like crazy to get it out. I hope hubby can get our money back, I should have known better than to let him choose. Had I looked I would have read reviews, and so many have the same issues as I. I'll try to find another brand. Stay away from this one!!!!!!!!! Oh in the bottom of this it asks how likely are you to recommend this item, it won't let me select never.

As a teacher, I use my laminator a lot. I think I’m on my third one of these as they keep jamming and there’s no way to unjam them.

Used many times with some issues of wrinkling up film. When trying to heat up, it makes a noise. When it gets heated up, it will not feed the sheets into the machine.

I had this product for about a year. A couple of months ago the edges of the laminating sheet would get caught on something inside and it would come out curled in on itself. Well today it just completely ate the laminating sheet and it is stuck inside... I've only ever used standard laminating sheets and paper in this so there's really just no reason for it. Won't buy this brand again.

Laminating tray broke after minimal use

I purchased this laminator in mid-September and by December, the loading tray has already broken. I am a teacher and have used it to laminate for my classroom, but overall it has had minimal use. I am disappointed that this laminator broke after only a few months of use. I’ve used only a handful of times
