Horrible
Bought this about a month ago. Tried to use it on a freshly painted wall when I was touching up the trim. It will not stick to wall. It won’t even stick to itself. 3M is a trusted company. Very disappointed

Not worth paying extra total rip off!
I paid almost double figuring I was going to get the best. What I got was the peeling of my walls and ceiling while painting my trim. I didn’t even leave the tape on for more the 10 hours. So very disappointed now I have to pay more money to repaint ceiling & walls! So mad!!!

3M ScotchBlue Original Painter's Tape... NOT GOOD!
Had this giving to me to use at work on a painting project, Let me say I wound NEVER BUY nor recommend this product as it rips apart in splinter like fashion making tape removel a total nightmare! This is a product I would expect to find in some discount store let alone have what I thought was a good company in 3M!? Totally disappointed in how your product did not meet my expectations.

I wish I read the other reviews first. Used all Benjamin Moore paint. Two coats of primer, two coats of paint. Let the ceiling dry two weeks than taped it to paint the walls. Tape was up less than 5 days. Every single piece of tape I pulled off took paint off the ceiling. Instead of being near completion, I now have hours of work to skim a band around the edge of my ceiling, prime it, then paint it. I would have been better off not using any tape than using this product. It’s absolute garbage. If anyone is reading this, save yourself time and money and buy something else, anything else (or don’t tape at all - even that will be better than using this junk).

Terrible product!Excellent at removing paint
By trying to save a little bit of money. I purchased his tape to paint my trim myself after hiring a professional to do the walls in my house. They were painted and possibly 30 days before I ever applied the tape to make sure that the paint had cured well enough. After approximately 3 days of painting my trim that I'd use the tape to achieve fine lines on I began removing it only to find that it was pulling the paint back off the walls that I just paid someone to do. I'm highly disappointed it would not recommend this for anyone.

Don't even bother with the tape
Felt compelled to take the time to review painters tape as this is the most ineffective product. Bought because the store was out of our normal green tape and the clean up from the damage from the tape took more time than painting the walls. It peeled the existing paint, so much it left damaged drywall. Conversely some how, the tape did not stick to the edge of the moulding bleeding the paint underneath. Super sloppy and better to just attempt free hand with a toddler

Won't peel off the roll without tearing! Terrible!
I bought this a few months ago and go to use it and I can't even peel the full width without it tearing! Sometimes it tears an 1/8" wide before I can lift more of the edge up. My finger nails can't even grab it right. Read the reviews and I don't think this one was a dud. Sounds like quality has changed. I will be going back to Frog Tape.

Peels both paint and drywall paper
Worst painters tape I've ever used. Peeled off paint and even drywall paper off of both freshly painted (over 24 hour dry time) and walls that had been primed and painted for over a year. Will have to redo the entire room but with frig tape this time.

I wish I would have read the reviews! we just moved into a new house and used this tape everywhere in the downstairs. it.is.the.worst. it kept tearing, peeling off paint, and generally misbehaving.

Terrible
Didn’t think the originator of painters tape would ever lower their standards but this is quite possible the worst tape I’ve ever used. It no longer even adheres to plastic. If I could give this negative stars I would. The green painters tape is stickier, and I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth.

Worse painters tape ever
This is the worse painting tape I've ever used. Lifted the paint off both the walls and the newly painted edge. Plus The primer leaked under the tape. I spent so much time painting this area and being so careful and now everything looks like a kid painted.

Pulls paint up when removing! Don't use
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this and used it to protect my ceiling edges while painting my walls. When I was done I pulled the tape off, nice and slow and keeping even tension while gently pulling. In doing so it ripped the paint off my ceiling. This ceiling had been painted and dry for two weeks before applying the tape. Also a few days earlier it pulled the dry wall paper off of some bare drywall.

Disappointing
Applied as instructed for painting the next day. Unfortunately most of the tape had peeled off. Instructions should read .... Apply using firm pressure and wait overnight then reapply. Repeat as necessary.

This product is terrible> Upon removal it tears and removes paint from the surface it was adhered to.

Or least hire someone who knows what to test for...the only question I have is where do I send this bill? For all the labor it took to pull this junk off. Tape tips every few inches. Learn something from frog tape would yuh!!!
