A: The PVC in the mattress is tested to provide a waterproof barrier. The barrier keeps leaks from seeping inside the mattress to prevent trapped liquids from creating mold, mildew, and odors. Great question!

Q: When I received the mattress after purchase and delivery, the label said it has 204 coils. However the online description says 182 coils. Which one is correct? Also is the cover considered breathable or will I have to use a breathable mattress cover.

Had this mattress for almost a year, my son is 15 months, transition into a crib around 6 months old and haven’t had any problems with this mattress. He’s big for his age and it’s held up really well

Upon initial crib set up, the "infant" side seemed especially soft. Several times in that first year I'd doubt myself and double check, thinking I accidentally had it on the "toddler" side. However, I didn't think it was unsafe initially. After about 8 months of regular use though, the center - all but about a 3 inch wide perimeter- was sagging & noticeably broken down. That edge was/is still appropriately firm. Definitely won't make it through the toddler bed years.

Purchased this mattress as Ive had great experience with Sealy in the past, but noticed over a one inch gap upon putting this in my daughter's new crib. If I push on the mattress at all it gets much bigger. Baby mattresses are supposed to be less than half an inch gap from the crib. I'd recommend another sealy mattress, or maybe this one is just a QC issue. Either way, please check to be sure your crib is safe for your baby!

Seems like a fine crib/toddler mattress: easy to clean surface, labelled for which side is which. It was however too small for our Babyletto crib (there was about 1.25 inch gap along the side when the mattress was pushed to one side and I could fit my arm down through the corner). I'd recommend double checking your crib dimensions since there are some variations in mattress sizes.

The mattress looks nice and fit very snug in the crib but it was much softer than expected so we returned it for a firmer mattress. Plus one of the seams were ripping slightly already and we’ve only had it sitting in an empty crib for a week. Didn’t seem worth it.

My son loved this crib mattress. He slept a full 6-8 hours after we received. My son usually runs warm and the mattress stayed cool for him which definitely made him more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to purchase.

My soon to be three year old gets the best night sleep now that she sleeps on a Sealy Brilliant Nights 2 stage Dual Firmness Crib and Toddler Mattress. Before she would wake up in the middle of the night and be cranky in the mornings. Now that she has this wonderful mattress she sleeps through the night and is an angel in the mornings. I love that it is Waterproof. My daughter still wets the bed and this makes clean up so very much easier. My daughter loves laying in her bed. She don't cry to get out as soon as she wakes. Thanks Sealy for a better night sleep for my little princess and myself.

Had to write a review because this mattress works great for my newborn and for my toddler son. The fact that it offers dual sides is great. Sealy did it again. The cushion for newborns is outstanding. My newborn sleeps so comfortable and i love the fact sealy made it to where the corners of the mattress are smooth so the baby don't have any accidents. Love, love, love the fact its waterproof because my toddler son is known for spilling his water, juice on surfaces clumpy and with the mattress being waterproof it makes a easy clean up. The fact that you have two sides to grow into make it 10 times easier because you save money and don't have to buy two mattresses, the child grows into each side. Upon lifting the mattress its not heavy at all. Suprising and Sealy has very good quality with this mattress. Before this mattress my son would climb out his toddler bed and climb in my bed in the middle of the night to sleep with me.. Now he got so comfortable with the Sealy mattress he sleeps in his own bed without the tossing and turning. who wouldve knew. Outstanding brabd will definately recommand to others. Worth the money & comfort

All I can say is WOW. My son has been having trouble sleeping in his crib, he would Toss and turn all night, he just couldn’t get comfortable. I’m so glad I decided to get this firm mattress! Last night he went straight to sleep and didn’t wake up tossing and turning at all. I’ve tried a few brands, and this one has been the best so far. The comfort is seriously AMAZING! The support is a lot better than what I have tried in the past. If you are thinking about getting it I would 100%. My son sometimes leaks through at night ( he did last night ) and I checked the mattress when he woke up and the waterproofing is amazing on it! I couldn’t believe it, usually when this happens I have to scrub the mattress, but nope! The design on it is neat, my son definitely loves his. I didn’t know by just getting a new mattress it would make such a impact on his sleep patterns. I would buy again.

This mattress runs a bit small. It was not a snug fit in the crib I bought for my grandson. He tends to sleep right up against the crib bars. I was afraid his hands or feet would slip into the cracks and disrupt his sleep. Otherwise it is a nice mattress, especially for the price. It seemed comfortable when I tried it. I returned the mattress as soon as I realized it did not fit crib, so I can't speak to how well the mattress will wear.
Check the dimensions of your crib. If you do not mind a loose fit, this might be a good mattress for you.
