Serta 18" Raised Air Mattress with Neverflat Pump - Twin

Was very pleased until mattress went flat, leaking around controls

I need to submit a new review of this product as I don't see a way to change my previous one. I had complained about the noise from the Never Flat Pump and was set on returning the item. But I desperately needed to use it first. It turns out once the bed is fully inflated to your desired firmness the horrible noise goes away because the Never Flat Pump shuts off. The bed is quiet when you first go to sleep. When the Never Flat Pump kicks in peridiocally for a few seconds during the night to maintain your desired firmness it does purr. Your tolerance to this is key. If you are a sound sleeper this may not bother you. I decided to keep the bed because I am primarily using it when it's too hot and I need to sleep in the living room where the window A/C and fan are. This extra noise in the room keeps me from noticing the sound of the pump coming on. I may very well be annoyed by the pump when I use it in a quiet environment. I'll have to wait and see. But it is kind of a cool feature if it doesn't wake you up. So now I give it three stars right in the middle because it could go either way.

I purchased this for a friend, having had two that did well for me for years. Friend's is leaking after 6 months (purchased 11/21). I would guess, like so much else, it's not as well made as it used to be.

Air filled, so it is like 'wow' man. Just like a cloud. Like a cloud.
